Hello, all.
I've been to the chat room a few times and it seems like the chat software is flaky, to say the least. Most of the time I use the Chrome browser, though I think the browser is not part of the problem. Guys using Firefox have also experienced dropouts and a frozen chat window.
Anyone have an insight into what the problem is?
Cheers,
Dave
Any chat system with a dynamic membership is challenging and resource intensive ($$$). Today was particularly tough and I sensed that all parties were not seeing the same content on their screens. Time slices seemed to be skipping some partners in the cue and I was seeing a chain of resets.
Today's chat was complicated by Internet links to three continents which may have been jumping from one path to another.
Good news is that support is working on two other chat systems. Sort of like breeding elephants though -- takes a long time to get results that will make most users happy.
More good news is that it's not my job !! 🙂
Since I began using Firefox I haven't had any issues at all. Internet Explorer caused me problems continuously.Just my experience.
The only prob I have is sometimes I go to send a message and it wont send so I have to leave and rejoin the chat
Hi Everyone,
Firefox seems to be the most stable browser for the chat room. However, our new chat software is moving closer to completion. It will be guaranteed to be much less flaky than our current version.
thanks,
