Is it possible to burn up your prostate?

By using the aneros daily for a long time, I fear I will hurt myself, or destroy my prostate's overall sensitivity. Has anyone in here been a daily user with no ill effects?

I have in the past been a daily user with no ill effects. The post "How often is safe?" has answers from more experienced users. I dont use daily anymore (totally makes it sound like an addictive drug lol), but its not for fear of hurting myself. It makes the sessions more pleasurable for me with one or two day breaks between. I'm curious now, have you experienced any loss in sensitivity after using daily for a long time @Spanishguy69?

@Spanishguy69 I had an Aneros "run" recently where I believe I had about 10 sessions in 10 days. I had no ill after-effects. Perhaps just a bit of prostate "soreness" but nothing significant.

First, if you are using your massager in accord with the manufacturer's recommendations, there is very little likelihood you will injure, hurt or otherwise damage yourself. Likewise it is unlikely that you would "destroy" your prostates overall sensitivity. As far as I know no man has made such a claim on this forum, nor have I seen any articles posted on the web alleging such a scenario, so I think you have nothing to worry about there.

As @goldenboy noted and my own personal experience can attest, short runs of daily use are probably not problematic, however, extended daily usage over time may lead to some temporary loss of sensitivity or numbing effects as well as some anal soreness. I believe this is due to the depletion of neurotransmitters in the nerve cells which have been experiencing ongoing daily stimulation. Providing a day or two between Anerosessions allows the body to recharge these cells, thus restoring their full functionality. As I pointed out in my introductory PM to you when you first joined the forum, as @Kazama noted and as noted in the Aneros WIKI

  • Usage of the Aneros can become very addictive. The problems associated with addictions and addictive behavior can manifest themselves in Aneros users just as easily as other forms of addiction.

. With neurotransmitter depletion it takes more stimulation to reach the same perceived bodily effects. This is a typical addiction pattern which you can easily avoid by allowing your body regular recovery periods.
Good Vibes to You !
