Besides easier access to blogs, I dont get what this is all about. We have a section on the forum for reviews, we already have the blogs, and I think from reading each others posts.. we know which models we have and want.

On another note, I went to add the Helix on my list of what I have, and its not listed.

Nat,

My take on AnerosMe is that it's a resource that allows you to personalize your membership much like some of the social networking sites do. It also allows one to get a good deal of background on a member in one place. So for example, if I'm reading one of your posts in the forum and I'm wondering which models you own and which ones you prefer, I don't have to search through all 53 of your posts to find the information. This is particularly an issue when a member has accumulated 100's of posts. Again, you can determine this information instantly with AnerosMe. Btw. I would disagree with you that we all know which models everyone has....I've never taken notes on it, I doubt anyone else has. Besides that new users coming into the forum will have no familiarity with you initially, this gives them a great way to get up to speed.

In addition to that, it's another portal into the Aneros Community, another starting place to begin your visits to the site. In AnerosMe you can see the most recent posts to the forum and the most recent posts to the blogs at the same time and view them quickly. You can also see if a particular member is logged on and where he/she is on the site. So for example, let's say I'm checking out Rumel's gear, reading his review on the Maximus and I still have a question about it. I notice that he's logged on and currently in the Chat Room. I can go to the Chat Room from AnerosMe and get more detail from him in real time. From what I can see one has full access to the entire site from AnerosMe so you can use it to visit any other destination. I think there's a great deal of potential to this feature and would encourage everyone to check it out.

Hi Everyone,

BMayfiled pretty much hit the nail on the head with his take on the AnerosMe. The Me is our attempt to really give the community an additional tool to connect to one another via some social networking elements. As Brian writes you can instantly learn more about another member by seeing what models he has, his contact info, his quote. With the product reviews, other members can see what you really think about a particular model. Maybe he'll PM you for more information. The reviews will also show up on the product pages of the new site, which gives those interested in buying an Aneros a real "face" to review, rather than wondering if the site is peppered with fake reviews. Reviews will only come from members of the community. This gives the community more ownership over the entire site. Also, having the recent blogs on the Me page is another way to encourage every member to create a blog. We would be thrilled if every member had one!

The AnerosMe is the most ambitious feature we've created, and we have many more features we will be adding to it in the months to come. Now there have been other features (like the sadly defunct Bee-Line) which didn't pan out, but we really have high hopes for the AnerosMe. Take it for a spin and let us know what you think.

I would think you would want to fix existing features such as the new forum and chat room first, but hey.. thats just my opinion.

Guys,

'AnerosMe' is another way for us all to get involved with this community, an opportunity for us to make individual statements about each and every product sold on the Aneros site, an opportunity to see what your fellow members think about those same products, an opportunity to get to know each other at another level but we are under no obligation to grab any of these opportunities.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I hope we all consider other things before finalizing our opinions. With any new application there are bound to be minor bugs to be ironed out, two months ago the Forum went through a major software upgrade with relatively little disturbance to the primary functioning of the site. It is easy to say 'fix the bugs first', but what bugs are we talking about? The Forum appears to be functioning quite well with many new fun features. As far as I know Aneros Support has fixed the previously identified bugs. The Chat room is currently running without bugs, so what's broken? What needs fixing? Support has diligently been fixing bugs once they have been identified.

Now Aneros has introduced the new feature 'AnerosMe' with expanded interconnectivity and integration within the website and not everyone will "... get what this is all about." I am sorry some of you don't understand what is happening or its significance but I hope in time you will. In any event, I think we can all be very thankful Aneros is making such an effort to improve the functionality and usefulness of this site for its customers. They are certainly under no obligation to do so and could function quite well (and less expensively) if they did not provide all these user oriented resources and Forums. The internet is awash in e-commerce sites which only care about snagging your dollar and provide little or no assistance to their customers. I, for one, am very grateful for the Aneros' (High Island Health) high integrity, generous spirit and willingness to invest their resources to create this truly unique community. I know of no other site which shows more care about their clientele than this one, but hey ... that's just my opinion.

I like it!! Neat dashboard-like entry into Aneros.com, with a nice assortment of essentials and Nav choices. It shows me recent history and the common login to all website services is a great improvement. It's now my primary bookmark.

However, I would have liked for Progasm (red) and Progasm (black) to be recognized as valid toolbox possessions. Felt that having patronized my local leather shop, I'd become an outcast.

Seems to work well with FF2, FF3 and Chrome(Incognito).

Woould like larger font in the advanced editor.

Can you use your old login or do have to make a new one?
Also, I could not create a new account because the log in screen said that the email was already being used.

The_Bishop,

You can log in to AnerosMe with your Forum username and password. In so far as not being able to create a new account with your email address, it's because the system already associates that email address with your current username.
