Ok so recently my wife gave me a nice treat by sucking me to completion. She doesn't do this very often since it takes so long for me to get off that way. (1 hour or more.) So it is a nice little treat when I get that. Anyways this particular time, she started to play with my butt hole a little. I have expressed interest in this in the past, so she knew that I would be into it. To help things out, I then reached for one of her more powerful vibrators, and just held it right on the rim while she finished up. I shortly thereafter had the absolute most mind numbing orgasm I have ever had.

Since that time, I have been looking for ways to explore that a lot more. What currently has piqued my interest is this idea of a prostate massage tool such as the Aneros Helix. In a rush to try this thing out, I went to a local novelty shop to look for this device. Unfortunately, they did not have what I was looking for, but they did have this little number which looks to be very similar: http://www.amazon.com/Nasswalk-Fantasy-Deluxe-Perfect-Silicone/dp/B00FQ6AMWO . I grabbed it, and started my prep work. I took a shower, making sure everything was clean. I then laid on my side and began to apply appropriate lubrication. Getting a finger in there was no problem at all, and after a good bit of time relaxing and "warming" things up, I lubed the device and began trying to insert it.

At only 1.25" in width, I did not see where this should be much of an issue, but it was. I kept trying for more than an hour, taking small breaks in between each attempt, reapplying lube, retrying the finger treatment, massaging the area, etc, etc. Basically I did everything that I have read on every site I could find that is dedicated to using these devices. I still could not get this thing to go any further than about half of the tip. I finally gave up on it last night, and decided to try again this evening.

In my efforts, things seemed to meet a physical resistance, but my finger and a slightly smaller, straight sided device slid right in with no issues. So I am thinking that my insertion angle is not right. If anyone here can help me figure out if there is a trick to getting this thing to go in, I would greatly appreciate it Are there any good instructional videos or illustrations that will help?

I still intend to get an Aneros model, but I'm concerned that I will run into the same problems I'm having with my current device.

the helix classic might be the way to go for now as it measures 3/4 of an inch. I have the progasm as well and do find that it takes practice to insert easily. I find that it helps to place a finger at the base of the anus, and then slide the toy a little further south before trying to insert. I also recommend plenty of lube on the toy and a little in your ass to help get things moving. Finally, it can also help to push out as if you are trying to have a bowel movement as it will automatically open you up a bit more. The key though really is relaxation. Any muscle tightness down there will cause issues at first. The helix is great because once you get it half way in it will slide the rest of the way in by itself and sit next to your prostate. Hope this helps.

See now that is what has me confused here. The product page on this site says it is 3/4 of an inch. Yet they show a picture of a quarter for reference, and the grid shows that the diameter is actually a little wider than a quarter. The quarter measures just under an inch across - 0.955 inches to be exact. Other sites that sell that device also have it listed at just over an inch across. So I am wondering if the MGX might be a better option.

Thank you for the reply and the advice, btw. I tried all of that and more. I tried again this evening for close to two hours with only a little more progress.

Most all of the Aneros products can be inserted easier than the item you are working with, except maybe the Progasm. I suggest relaxing your anus with some finger play and lots of lube. As you push the item in push out like you're trying to take a dump. It should slide right in.

OK So I'm going to put that device I bought on hold for a bit. I just purchased the SGX, and I'll give it a go when it arrives next week. I read somewhere that this one was originally designed with shorter guys in mind. I'm right at 5'7", so that coupled with the smaller width will hopefully help things out until I'm ready to graduate to the larger models.
