Perhaps not everyone's prostate can get stimulated? I can't even get an erection when I have my aneros in. I've tried a few times and every time I just have to end up jerking it off. I literally feel no stimulation. And I'm relaxed, in fact, I'm so relaxed I almost fell asleep with it in me one time. I'm just starting to think that not everyone's prostate can be stimulated. I have it in me right now and I just feel really bored.
how long have you been having sessions? Your penis is not involved in prostate stimulation and its completely normal to not get erections for some people. When you start feeling pleasure from your prostate you may or may not get an erection but again its best to not play with your penis while having a session. Just keep at it, it may take some time for your prostate to wake up.
I don't get erections either and am happy about that. To me an erection would be distracting. Like you when I first started I felt like I had to jerk off to "finish". Now I have my session and the only penile stimulation I get is if I am on my side and I thrust into the sheets. Usually this simply ends up with the discharge of some precum. Once you start having some mini O's and more you'll find the need to masturbate goes away a great deal.
Be patient, keep trying, once you feel the first tiny feeling you will start to 'get it'. Maybe not relaxing totally is worth trying, relaxation is difficult enough and I think you can get caught up in concentrating on that and not noticing anything else. Certainly for me a bit of tension in the legs gets things going.Practice putting your concentration on the aneros, your perineum, your penis, your anus, the whole area and be alert for the slightest pleasant feeling and then building it with breathing and concentration. The first few times I tried I felt nothing and was disappointed, once I noticed the feelings they grew rapidly.
Can I add to this thread that I only and I stress 'only' feel Prostate response when I'm hard when using an aneros. I do not why and I do not know if this is normal, but without a stiffy I would feel nothing. Just my two cents.
I'm not quite as extreme as @inhope, but having a boner is really a necessary part of my sessions. I do get some response without one, but it's far more intense with one.
I haven't quite figured out whether escalating prostate arousal starts my erection, or if my erection jump-starts my prostate response. The two happen so close in time and build so rapidly that I can't really tell which starts first.
When I do feel it starting I don't have the luxury of taking a moment to examine the situation. I have to slow down and brace for impact, or settle for a peaky dry-O and a couple seconds of body spasms. I find that far less satisfying than the long-duration, slow-building O I can get when I avoid that.

That is exactly how I would word my experiences! I would add that my aless sessions always work without erection, in fact all of them I've been soft.
As soon a before I put my aneros in, I'm hard, and I stay hard a long as my session is going. I'm haven't been using the aneros for more than a few month, however I have yet to be flaccid. When I have some aless fun, it build my erection.
Some thought cross my mind during a session, since everything is driven by the mind, even the slightest disturbance can break everything, whether it is some cultural or religious belief regarding anal, or some self imposed limit like the culpability of feeling too much pleasure, try to find the block and go over it.
As far as being relaxed, and the do nothing method, keep in mind that it doesn't work for everyone, I have to mechanically work trough building pleasure before I can relax and surf what's here, feeling it evolve through time and limb alike...
In the end your body will find the way, but your mind must not hinder it, it must help it.
Having an erection is not indicative of prostate contact or of a successful session...I go from flaccid to erect to flaccid many times during a session...and that is completely normal. Some sessions I'm soft for 80-90% of the time and others I am hard for most of the session. My point is that you shouldn't rely on being erect as an indicator of prostate stimulation...you need to look inward to find the sensation of prostate contact.
