After reading so many enthusiastic reviews of the Aneros products, I could not wait to buy one. I have some experience with anal play and was excited about the prospect of taking it to the next level. I scheduled my purchase of the Helix around a trip out of town so I would have some alone time to experiment. I checked into the hotel, went for a jog and then had a long warm shower. I cleansed myself out and set to work. I lubed up the Helix, inserted it with no problem and began the suggested breathing exercises. After a few minutes, I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep for a moment or two. After 15 minutes or so, I began to contract my muscles. Then I clenched. Then I contracted some more. Nothing. I made sure the abutment was in contact with the area I imagine included the perineum acupressure point. Nothing. I moved the handle back and forth. Nothing. I removed, relubed and reinserted the Helix, making sure it was inserted the right way. Nothing. Not the first spasm, twitch of feeling or pleasure in any way. I tried to look at a little porn. Nothing. After about 30 minutes I gave up. Help.
Hi there -
Try not to get too disappointed. This is an entirely new (and different) type of sensual stimulation. Read different posts on techniques and Super O, and you'll see that it takes time for most users to "rewire," the body.
I'm on month two, and have been using the Helix about twice a week. Get a sense of how your prostate feels when its engaged with the Aneros. Take the expectations out of each session, and you'll enjoy it more.
Cheers,
Calboy
hey sumatrian-
welcome to the forum.
don't despair. not uncommon to feel nothing at first. i understand your sense of let down, but hang in there.
stay relaxed, and as calboy says, lose your expectations.
couple of things to try.
1. cheat. to get the sense that there is something to the aneros, insert it next time you have traditional sex, solo or w/ partner.
2. another thing to gain some momentum is to do kegels daily. they build up the strength of your PC muscles and generally increase sexual responsiveness across the board.
if you keep at it, you will start to notice something. then your challenge is to grow that something, and grow it and grow it...
darwin
Try some Strawberry Jam.
Try it in the morning when your energy is high. I'm not sure if releasing all your tension with a run before hand is the best plan of attack either.
I have the classic model coming up on a year. I finally cut off the handle the other day, I left the little ski jump nub of the handle on and just filed it smooth. I have a pretty powerful gluts and I think the handle was getting held back by my tailbone and butt. I found a big difference, where I was only getting the odd tingle before, I'm now building towards something. I had a half hour of nice buzz the other day sitting in a recliner.
Let your seed build up for a couple of days too.
Only thing I'm using for lube is a bit of olive oil on the unit and a smear on the t'aint. I don't think I'm far off some great experiences.
Hello Sumatrian, As a Newbie myself, I've had the Aneros less than two weeks, I sympathize with your frustration. If you read many of the posts on this forum especially from 'darwin' & 'B Mayfield' you will realize that the process of re-wiring your body for new sensual awareness requires you to 'let go' of expectations, relax and focus on the new sensations we are experiencing. Like you the first time I inserted the Aneros (following all the manufacturers written directions) not much happened for me either, after about two hours use, I took it out with some feelings of failure for not obtaining some expected result. Subsequent expanded reading on this forum has been very helpful in picking up tips and strategies to advance my learning and understand that you can't "make" your body repond in the same way that you can for external stimulation/masturbation. In fact the external stimulation model that we men use is probably counterproductive to obtaining these new orgasm models. Your 30 minute introduction to the Aneros is just that, an introduction to a dialogue between your mind and body. Your body WILL start telling you things but your mind must be focused enough to LISTEN and respond. I have been fortunate that I was able to quickly hear what my body is starting to tell me. Utilizing some of the suggested techniques of others, I have already gotten to some of 'darwins' 'milestones', but not yet a Super-0 or even multi-mini-o's. On my fourth try I was able to have a mini-o that I was able to sustain for more than 5 minutes, that was a WOW factor for me. I now feel that there is more available beyond the horizon than I can now see, but it may be a journey of many steps to get past that horizon. I don't know how long the trip may last or whether I have the determination to stay on the path but I know it is going to be enlightening for a while at least. I am trying to suspend my expectations for now and approach this activity as a naive child might explore its new world under the tuteledge of caring parents (Thanks 'darwin' & 'B Mayfield'). There is a quotation that may be appropriate here, "That which we obtain too easily, we esteem too lightly"
I think the Super-O as described by others is goal worth working for and not to be esteemed lightly, therefore, perhaps it shouldn't be too easily attained. With all that having been said, I hope that you, Sumatrian, will persevere on the path many like yourself are on. Live long and Prosper, Rumel
