How important is lube in, not just the comfort aspect, but in actually achieving a super-o?

I've never felt any discomfort inserting my helix syn. It is always well lubed, but I feel like when I insert it, all of the lube gets wiped off because of the tight fit and the majority of the lube stays on the outside. Obviously some gets it, but I wonder how much. Could this hinder the super-o process? I feel like if the helix syn gets a little sticky (and it does SEEM to be a little sticky whenever I take it out although that could just be a sensory illusion) it might not be as effective as if I syringed some lube in there to start with which would allow the helix syn to move around and back and forth more freely.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this matter?
Thanks!

@jim_malone_1234 A lot of people including me use a lube launcher or other device like the bulb type syringe thing you use to administer meds to babies and inject an moderate amount of water based lube inside as a prelube. I find much better results when doing that. I have also noticed Helix Syn feeling stuck when I didn't do that procedure.

Here is an example:

http://www.amazon.com/Lubricant-Launcher-Set-3-Blue/dp/B00GIXI6JU/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1425215680&sr=1-1&keywords=lubricant+launchers

You can usually fine this type at the grocery or drug store in the baby section, although in our grocery it is near the pharmacy and with the drug organizers:

my opiinion... in a word... ESSENTIAL!

My best prostate stimulation for intense orgasm happens when the Aneros tool can make very minute and precise movements across my prostate, all with a minimum of muscle effort. This sensitivity and exquisite contact with the rectal tissue wall covering my prostate happens with a "proper" amount and viscosity of lube. "Proper" is something that each man must find for himself and is dependent on the size, shape and surface texture of the tool, the length of the anticipated session and the style of prep.

Like some other men I use a combo of lubes for each of my "orgasmic" sessions.

Tips: Ease cleanup of your hands by using either Nitrile gloves to lube yourself or save a buck and use a sandwich baggie to handle the lube components and handle the Aneros when you remove it.

Remember also that if you douche, use as little water as possible and expel it all before you lube.

I use Shea butter on it's own now and I'm really hoping someone can suggest another lube that works well with this one to make it even better.

Coconut oil?

Enough lube is critical imo. Like xtimedt69 said above, I use a modified medicine syringe to inject lube before a session. I use a little KY at the start to lube my anus and then inject olive oil into myself. I use about 5cc internally and also coat whatever aneros I am using as well. The olive oil "sticks" pretty well and makes a nice even coat.

@jim_malone_1234,the experience of many Aneros users seems to be that pre-lubrication of the rectal cavity is almost a given. For this, you really need either to inject a liquid, as suggested by @xtimedt69, or to insert a plug of some lubricating material that is solid at room temperature but melts at or just below body temperature.

Another requirement of any lubricant for this activity is that it retain its lubricating qualities for at least the length of your session, if not overnight.

To meet both of these requirements, it seems majority opinion has it that certified unrefined shea butter fits the bill. It is relatively cheap, is not difficult to obtain and is also quite easy to work with. Just do a Google search on Unrefined Shea Butter and I'm sure you will find an online supplier in your area.

It does however still require the use of a water-based lube on the tool itself and, perhaps around the anal opening to ease insertion but, that is a very minor inconvenience IMO.

FWIW, I have been using unrefined shea butter in the form of approx 3ml plugs, along with a smearing of KY gel on the tool itself, since mid-2009 with no problems at all and to my complete satisfaction.

Good Luck!

You can find excellent detailed discussions of "how i do it" in some of the older lube threads. I almost always insert rectal lube. As suggested above, you can make plugs/suppositories of shea butter or coconut oil, cooled down in the freezer (an interesting experience in itself when first inserted), or, if you can get your hands on a 10 cc plastic syringe, saw off the end, and anneal the edges gently in a flame while moving it around constantly, then cooling in water. This device can be used for getting plugs of lube for freezing or for inserting softer and liquid lube. I keep a separate sawed off syringe for getting plugs and inserting, just to keep the stock un-, well, unsoiled. Then I coat the device with LOC (lube of choice) and usually a few additional drops of olive oil. For added slipperiness (I don't use water based lubes--see that discussion), a little A&D ointment outside the rectum is sometimes nice. For those of us who do not enemize before riding (me, for example), keeping a device in overnight may of course result in less successful slipperiness in the morning hours due to newly delivered "goods" to the rectum. That's why sometimes, trying to ride with the device having been in overnight might not be so successful.

Thanks so much guys! I've always been one to just lube up the aneros with shea butter, but this thread inspired me to shoot some coconut oil all up in my guts and its making all the difference. It's suddenly kicked in to high gear again after a YEAR A VERY FRUSTRATING YEAR!!! since my last super-o. So thanks again for bringing this up.

I got a big tub of carrington farms organic/virgin from costco and I used a 10ml syringe to inject it.

Do you need to inject it? Can you just lube it with the shea together on the device?

@anlcomplsv that's a great idea, using small teaspoons like they use for coffee stirrers and freezing the "balls".@inhope Try, it, inhope, I think you'll like it (Coconut oil that is). Yes, you can just lube the device, but I have found additional lube in the rectal cavity itself can make a difference. elsewhere: there seem to be some parallel threads around, I talked about the brand I found in the supermarket's organics department: Spectrum Essentials, but I think that you can't go wrong with any of the brands sold in the health food stores. I even found one with kosher certification, since coconut oil IS a consumable oil.

I've already got a 5ml injector, will try it. in the past though when I've used lubes it feels like dioherreah and its not a nice feeling when injecting any liquid up there.

How do you guys get this into liquid form? microwave?

is it worth using BOTH shea and coconut oil in the same session, or just the coconut oil?
