More than 5 years ago I got my first Aneros, the Helix Classic. Over the years I added more models to my collection such as the Eupho and Progasm. In this post I want to share in a short form (many post here on the forum are quite long) for beginners and others how I get the most pleasure out of it and what I do before a session:
State of mind
First you need to get into a different state of mind. The traditional male approach is that you get aroused, you come and then you are done.
With Aneros, you have to think of it more like a female orgasm that starts slow, peaks, goes a bit lower again and becomes stronger again. It goes around in circles and you can have multiple orgasms and feel pleasure over a very long time.
Try to think you are receiving pleasure (instead of giving) and listen to the subtle feelings in your body. Take the more female point of view.
Practical Preparation
o Make sure you have enough time. When you are in a rush or only have one hour it will not work. Best is if you have a day just for yourself. See it as a kind of meditation. Put on some classical music if that soothes you down.
o Quiet the penis: The penis is often interfering in this process. Therefore, I "cushion" it with a sock so that it is never massaged. This lets me focus more on the feelings the Aneros evokes. I also never get a traditional erection during the session, so the penis should be limp.
o Make sure your surroundings are warm enough.
o Position: I found out that the position of your body does not really matter. Sometimes I lay down. Other times I stand, other times I kneel. All you need is time and focus. I am sometimes still wearing my jeans just lying down on the couch with the Aneros inserted.
o Aneros model: I also found out that all the models work. Sometimes I take the Progasm, sometimes the Helix. Use a lot of lube.
o Eating: Before a session, I try not to eat much. A light meal is the best. I also found out that drinking some caffein helps me. Also drinking water during the session is important, this keeps me hydrated.
Let it come
Once all is set, I am relaxed. I put on some classical music and start to concentrate and relax at the same time. The contractions happen more or less automatically, sometimes there is a shivering, sometimes not. I just let it come and go. During the sessions, I watch some subtle, soft porn or event "meditate" with an arousing picture.
When done several times, I can feel the orgasm coming and going and I keep going for many hours. Sometimes I reach incredible heights, other times it is more of a subtle pleasure.
The "Super O" or "Bliss" I reach when I feel that I am "in" the picture or movie I am meditating with. This shows me that I have reached a new high and it is a very different feeling from a traditional orgasm because it just keeps on going and never stops.
Appreciate your comments.

I think avoiding contact of the penis is good advice for those just starting out because the temptation to masturbate will be too much to resist. However, recently I'm able to have dry orgasms from stretching the frenulum on my penis, so maybe once you learn to control the urge to ejaculate it is ok for some light contact.
Completely agree about eating light meals beforehand. Heavy foods have a tremendous affect at dulling my sexual desires. The last session I had after a heavy meal, I struggled staying awake while I was relaxing.
One thing to add would be drink lightly beforehand and use the bathroom before you ride. You don't want to have to get up to pee halfway through a session. Also be careful with the amount of caffeine because depending on how much you consume, it can act as a diuretic and make you have to pee a lot more.
Pretty good. Your list of bullet points neatly distills and reinforces the shared wisdom. Integrating your own methods will seed ideas in readers, but, more importantly, will encourage others to see the training material as a skeletal framework to build on and personalize.
One style point got to me: inconsistent voice. The switches between first and second person are disorienting. I think it reads better in first person, where you describe what you do for yourself. Writing it in second person feels too much like you're giving set of orders for the reader to follow.
I find useful instruction in failure as much as in success. If you choose to expand what you've written, consider describing the methods you tried that were not helpful.
All sounds good. One thing I would add is that not everyone has hours for this particularly if married with a young family. I have managed with 30 minutes to an hour maximum per session for 90% of the time, not ideal, but it can be done.
