How does Radical Prostatectomy affect the Aneros experience?

Hi everybody. My first post here. I've read the wiki and I searched the forums, but was unable to find any discussion of Aneros use after Radical Prostatectomy.

Just in case anyone doesn't know what it means, Radical Prostatectomy is a surgery to remove the prostate, usually as a treatment for prostate cancer. The so-called "nerve sparing" surgery preserves the nerves that run along side the prostate on both the left and right sides. These nerves control erections.

The Aneros products have been around for many years. I'm wondering if there are any users who began using the Aneros and achieved super-o experiences prior to having Radical Prostatectomy surgery. If you were properly re-wired prior to the surgery, perhaps you could continue having super-o experiences without a prostate. Is there hope for men without a prostate? Does anyone have continued success after surgery?

Well I am not a frequent contributor to the form but this thread really needed a response and I have a feeling there are not a lot of guys who meet the requirements to post a response. Now I can't say I 100% meet your questions but first I have had my prostate removed with the robotic procedure and I was well on my way to someday having the Aneros super O. I had been ridding my toys for at least 4 year prior to being hit with the cancer and then the surgery.

Had I had a super O prior to surgery? I don't really think so. Did I have Aless feeling prior to surgery - Yes Was I properly re-wired prior to surgery - well I can't say that as I would need more clarification of your concept of properly re-wired.

Now after surgery there is always a period of recovery and I wish for those memories to fade away fast as there we a couple of complications that I had to work through but at last I was given the green light to resume normal activity. Now I did not pitch all my toys as I was in hopes that I would still be able to enjoy at least what I had before in the way of sensations and enjoyment of the stimulation.

For the first couple of months there was nothing to write home about but then the sensations did begin to come back to the point that I feel almost whole again with the ability to enjoy every sensation plus Aless feelings on occasions. In the beginning when the sensations started to return, I was sure it was just my mind playing tricks on me but once I started getting the Aless feelings, I quickly decided that if it was a mind trick, I was going to just enjoy what it gives me and look forward to more and more intense sensations.

If any of you a facing this procedure I would be glad to PM or Skype visit with you to explain in more detail my experience.

It has been what I have come to tell a few friends here as a bumpy side trip but I feel back on the highway now.

@IT_Kan, Thank you for the thoughtful response and for sharing your experience. I also had the robotic procedure. The nerve sparing procedure worked extremely well for me. I had erections strong enough for penetration within a few days after the catherer removal. I'm not taking a victory lap, just offering my honest experience for others.
Having said that, I wish I had opted for the Brachytherapy. It was a long recovery from surgery and sex is different without a prostate. I also wish I had experimented with the Aneros prior to the surgery. Who knows what might have been.

Your story does give me some hope. I'm considering trying the peridise. I have seen some messages by a woman on the forum who had great experiences with the peridise.

@Grey I am sure you and I both spent many hours in research and arrived at our decisions for various reasons and yes I agree that life will never be like it used to be. But with that all said if you have the time and the desire to spend with some of the Aneros products you may find a whole new world of sensations that you never knew you had the ability to feel. I may be wrong and it may only be because i had the experience before but the ability to have this enjoyment today is almost life saving.
