How do you smooth out the energy?

Not sure the way to describe it, but the energy that builds from the prostate during a session. I would describe it as sometimes a very smooth and gentle powerful energy (often with relaxation I can turn that into a wave of pleasure that floats over my body)- Very much calm seas.

However sometimes the energy that is buzzing around there almost feels too powerful and uncomfortable, kind of like mini electric shocks. The only technique i have found is to just keep breathing and trying to relax deeper.

Does anyone have any other tips to change this energy into the softer version? Or do some people prefer this feeling?

Does feel like there are 2 very different things that happen down there.

If it feels "heavy" like this, then it's rough seas. This is what I get a majority of the time. I don't think you can switch to calm seas right away, but it's possible to pivot to calm seas after you are done with the rough seas Os... sometimes. Otherwise, you can try to relax and breathe, exactly like you are doing, which is what you would do if you ran into Terror at the Gate and wanted to back away.

Yes, these are very distinct experiences, but not opposite, they're both Super-Os after all. More like 2 sides of the same coin or even sort of a Yin-Yang thing.

I think calm seas are mostly relaxation with some arousal thrown in, and rough seas are mostly arousal with some relaxation. It's quite interesting how incredibly different they both are while still using the same components...

Hello

@zentai Really this can be rough seas 🤔

I use my Eupho trident more often and I think that session of greater tension or not depends in a certain way  of the aneros we use. I observe this in comparison with my Progasm JR.

The sessions with progasm generate the feeling of expansion and filling and the touch on the prostate is more intense and I think this reflects on the "composition" of these orgasmic sensations and the body's responses. This does not happen with Eupho, normally the sensations with it progress in small levels to the peak, very gradual and delicious.

I had a tense pleasure session with Progasm JR, then it didn't happen anymore. Progasm JR is awesome too but for personal preference I currently prefer Eupho (compared to these 2 models) . This also seems to be linked to the mental and physical state of the day of the session. There are times when we will be super receptive to anal pleasure and there are days when you can think about waiting another 1 or 2 days and everything will be on track for that exquisite session.

I believe it can be. It's hard to be sure about anything, and obviously I can't speak with authority about anyone else's experience, but here's my reasoning :

"Smoothing out" implies it's "rough", then we have "almost too powerful" and "uncomfortable", then "softer version" implies this is a "hard" version. Sounds like rough seas to me. As far as I know it's the only thing that can fit this narrative.

The other stuff you can encounter is different enough that I don't think someone would describe it this way, and my own rough seas often feel like "too" something, too much, too fast, too good, too hard. @jiji2000's experience really seems to fit these parameters, but he's the only one who can decide if it makes sense or not.

It's really hard to talk about with certainty, but I've come to know two forms of pleasure. One is pleasure born of building tension and hardness (which can reach orgasmic heights in its own right), and the other is born of release and of "arriving". Like all of the tension and intensity that had been building has finally come home, and washes out of me. That release of letting it wash out becomes an available option at some point, but it doesn't announce itself. I mostly get tunnel-vision on the first phase, and want more and more of that mounting tension-pleasure, but I did at one point notice the hidden option of release. Like a vinyl record where the needle jumps to a completely different song... it was as if I just needed to decide the build-up had done enough work, and the desirable heat could now turn into a desirable cold. I think you can pass that orgasmic "point of no return" or "edge" without even realizing it... getting lost in the build-to phase, and riding its pleasure without switching.

Great observations ! I also feel like this is similar to "going sideways" instead of "going up" if you imagine the pleasure is rising or climbing, or even taking an exit on the highway to a certain destination, instead of going straight ahead towards who knows what.

[...] it was as if I just needed to decide the build-up had done enough work [...]

This is an important point, it's almost impossible to always do more, or to maintain a state of more during a whole session. Enough is all you need.

To expand... I don't know if it's just me, and some weird mental block I've had for years... where this appeared as something new to me, and maybe it's not new to other people. But the two states I mentioned feel very different to each other. The second state had a very strong sense of physical relief and contentment, which the first doesn't have. Like all the work is done, and I've arrived... I'm not even concerned about building anything anymore... there's nothing else to reach for and nothing else to need. It's almost like the orgasm is split in two halves, the orgasm you have on the rising side, approaching the PONR, and the orgasm you have on the way down.

It's only clear to me now, having experienced it, that the second phase was missing, because it always felt like an energy that was rising and rising (but feeling orgasmic)... yet still waiting for it to reach a tipping point that would send me over some edge... but the edge never arrived, and I was never pushed... I had to switch over to it myself.

I think it's possible that I learned to masturbate wrong in the first place, over-relying on tension and intensity to force me over the edge. Where in Aneros sessions, I can't rely on the same physical tools.
People say "there is no edge", and there's truth to that, but I think there can be a mental edge, where I don't know how to permit myself to enter the relief phase, because I've always just hammered my way there and had it overwhelm me.

It’s all about control. In calm seas o’s,I’m controlling things with movements, focus, and other tweaks. In rough seas i lose control, the sexual energy and PF musculature are controlling the tweaks. Since i have the belief I won’t die or come to harm,i can surrender to it. Rough seas are so much more satisfying, calm seas leaves me wanting more, not quite scratching that itch.

As for switching modes, deep breathing and relaxing further would be counter productive for me. Those are the things needed to get to get there in the first place. I’d suggest waking your mind up a little. Come back to reality some.

Do you think you get to select your path during the session ? Sometimes it feels I get what I get with little choice in the matter. In a sustained Super-O situation you do have the freedom to move around quite a bit, but most buildups tend to lead in a particular direction, and trying to switch things around can lead to a dud.

You're not alone in this, I think it's vital to understand that contentment is needed to switch between buildup up and being there. It's part of that mental edge that like you said, is there, yet not there.

It sometimes feels like going from plateau to plateau in small leaps, each time asking yourself : "Is this good enough for me to call it a Super-O ?" and basically being pretty generous with yourself and having attainable standards. I think people are afraid that they will be stuck with a weak Super-O if they give in too early ?

I don't know if someone can make this paradigm shift easily before achieving Super-Os, or if it happens gradually with experience ? Right now I don't care for the *really* intense experiences, so contentment comes earlier, and I'm pretty detached from the results. This also affects arousal, so I don't think being blasé about the results is the right frame of mind to have here.

Me personally,I believe there is leave for selection, but that’s not really the way I meant it in the reply. To me,RS is totally in the zone,so if he can wake his mind up a little, and come out of the zone,he won’t get shocked to shit.

If there wasn’t any selection, then there’d be no need to train,no need to build the journey, and there’d not really be any obstacles to progress if the path was predetermined.

To me,calm seas is the Google internet, plenty of sightseeing and adventure to be had,all warm, fuzzy and safe.  Rough seas is the deep web, dangerous and brutal, with high stakes for the highest rewards, and I see the coolest shit down there. I know how to get there,so it’s really a conscious choice when I’m super horny. Other times,I don’t want or have time to go,so I bask in the glorious sunshine of calm seas.

Maybe it doesn’t make sense to other guys, but it does to me and it’s how I built my journey from the mechanical foundations of C + X = 5 and X + Z = 10.

I myself have peeled back the onset of RS to CS. Just took and little mental tweak.

I mainly get rough seas, so it's either that, or if I don't really want to go too deep, then it's me holding back for most of the session... I think that right off the bat, I'm pointed in a particular direction and doing adjustments so I can move to calm seas when I'm already in a high arousal state does not really work. I can do the transition when I'm coming back down, assuming I did not encounter some crazy stuff and that I have energy left.

Right now, low arousal means no Os, I wish I could pivot to calms seas instead but it's the hard stuff or nothing. I might get 5% calm seas or not even that.

Super discussion and so many good points. Feels like all on the same page.

I do find that a calm seas super O just sort of slowly creeps up and next thing you know you are there. I find it very much like floating thru space and the super O is almost alot in the head with just great feeling all over the body.

Where as the rough seas super O is almost like the energy turns into Morse code where it is tapping down there. It slowly taps faster and faster and faster and eventually gets to fast that the tapping just stops.... once it stops there is usually 1-2 seconds of nothing then an entire wave of pleasure Feels like it overcomes you from inside and over your body.

Yep, I get that pause, too. It's important to not do anything at this point, 2 seconds is just long enough to try to add a flex or a hold and mess up the whole process, I don't know if it happened to you ?

It's cool to see that several of us get to experience both kinds of Os, the more common ground we can find, the more things will make sense to others who are not quite there yet.
