Can anyone tell me if this based on the eupho, in terms of dimensions/design or if its something more unique? at first i thought it was more like an MGX with a little nodule, i just cannot seem to be able to tell.

Thanks

Sorena I'm glad you brought this one up, I wanted to get it a while ago and forgot about it!! More so, the "950" looks cool too, I like the up and down length and that its thin, it could feel pretty cool! I might order these things really, really soon.

Has anyone here tried the psnew or the 950?

Guys,

The PS New is the MGX, they differ in name only. High Island Health and Aneros are marketing arms of the same company. HIH serves those who are experiencing BPH, hemorrhoids and other health issues. Aneros is concerned with the erotic application of these products. Many of the products that you know today were originally introduced over on the HIH side and were later offered by Aneros. Some, like the Eupho, Maximus, Progasm, Tempo and Syn lines have been exclusive to the Aneros site.

From time to time there have been certain devices that were offered exclusively on the HIH site, the 950 is a case in point. With respect to a review, keep your eyes peeled, I will be posting my own very shortly.

Cheers,

BF Mayfield

Please take a look at the link again, you can see it is not like an mgx, or rather that it is based in the mgx but has that little nodule bit at the front, so it is different is it not!?

Sorena,

Whoops, sorry for the confusion. The fact is the nomenclature has changed here over the years as have some of the product offerings. Long ago the PS-New was indeed referred to as the MGX. When a new MGX was introduced it became known as the MGX New, the older model became known as the MGX Classic. Once they phased out the older MGX (on the Aneros site), the MGX New became the MGX classic....are you confused yet? 😉 Okay, so nowadays the PS-New is referred to as the Aneros Classic over here.

So returning to your question about the difference between the PS-New and the current MGX Classic...here's one of my posts from 2009, I think this is one of the last times I discussed it. Ironically someone was asking the same question about the PS-New back then.

October 2009

Yes indeed this is the MGX Classic, one of my personal favorites.
A couple of things to be aware of though. First, the older style
"hockey stick" P-tab contacts your perineum higher (closer to the
scrotum) than the newer models do. So it is possible to overshoot one's
Sweet Spot altogether with this product as it comes from the factory. In
fact, I had to modify mine to make the tab engage closer to my anus.
(Check under modification in my Keys to the Backdoor thread for more
info, but be advised that this was not easily done).

Secondly, as one user noted, this model has nodules, raised
areas on the tip. Personally, I found these to be the Classic's most
intriguing feature and I know that there were many others that liked
them as well. But some users found them to be irritating. Some even
reported drawing blood from using the device, but this was likely due to
misuse, i.e. driving the Classic vigorously by hand. At one
time the Classic was the flagship in the Aneros line but newer, improved
models supplanted it long ago. Again, it is not for everybody, but
with the right user, particularly someone who is highly sensitive at the
midpoint between the scrotum and anus it can be quite effective.

If you are interested in buying the Classic and have no need for the other items in the Volcano pack*, it may be purchased by itself on the HighIsland.com site, see PS-New.

*When the PS-New (Aneros Classic) was last available on the Aneros site it was part of the Volcano pack - a combo pack that included the Aneros Classic and the SGX.

Thanks for this clarity!

Has anyone used the 950? It looks really intriguing!!! I might order these both very soon, like in a day or something 🙂

techpump,

I have used the 950 and I'll be posting a review very soon (likely over the weekend). In the meantime I can tell you that size-wise it's in the range of the SGX and it makes quite a nimble addition to ones arseanal.

Cheers,

BF Mayfield
