Is it worth an up grade from bog standard helix to the syn? And how much life can you get out of these things? Do they wear out?

I have found the Helix Syn less "aggressive" than the standard model. As for their useful life, I wouldn't know, not having had them for very long.

So long as you keep them clean, stored in a secure environment, and not force the tabs so they break, they should last indefinitely. The only one that I've seen a limited life is the plain Progasm; the Ice is a stronger, sturdier plastic that won't fatigue and fail.

I agree with wulff...Syn feels less aggressive for some reason and to me it seems to be more slippery and comfortable internally...however I prefer the Ptab of Classic...the Syn Ptab does not stimulate the sweet spot as aggressively as I would like. I use the Syn more than classic...also cut off the handle of both.

I had mine for over a year and half still mint condition if you keep it washed and cared for. I love the syn models very soft and different feeling on the prostate.

The syn model has a narrower body at the head which allows for more motion but also the chance I slip of the p spot internally so you have to be able to control that motion or at least readjust every now and then if you can't. Also if the canal gets dry while it is in there it feels like it sticks to the walls. I have heard some make comment they were panicking They might have to go to emergency care to have it removed. But a little lubricant freed it right up. Read that once in one of these forums anyway. Still I have given them a whirl after lubricating with shea and coconut butter mix and then using water based lube for the tool with excellent results and no drying out. The narrower head allows for more free movement and increased stimulation to the prostate and more comfortable with extended wear.

Based purely on personal experience I can recommend the Helix Syn especially since I am still coming down and slightly shaky after an intense session with this device. There is no doubt that for me it is more comfortable than the classic Helix and provides no less pleasurable sensations. I use it with Maximus water-based lube which has never caused me any problems. But each one of us is different, and what works for me may not for you. Ultimately the choice is yours alone,
