Hi All,
New here. Have Always been fascinated with Anal Sex and tried inserting my fingers and others things in my ass over the years but never found it amusing or interesting. Recently tried with my fingers again but nothing.....then read up few articles and started massaging my prostate, it was hard to find at first, but once I did it was heaven....and came without even touching my cock which was awesome....huge load on my stomach saw so much cum for the first time in my life. So now was wondering about toys to massage my prostate and came across Aneros.....my god so many to choose from...If I could I would buy them all and have them in my collection but unfortunately I can afford only one. I narrowed my choice down to Helix Syn and Progasm Black Ice. Now here's where I need your help with the final choice. I have read the forums here and else where and found few pro's and con's for both and I will note them down, I want you to help me make my final decision
Helix Syn:
Pro's: Soft, can be used regularly, easy to insert
Con's: Hard to clean, silicone based lube cannot be used, moves around a bit
Progasm Black Ice:
Pro's: Smooth, Get's into action soon, aggressive, Easy to Clean, Any lube can be used, Feels Fuller doesn't move around
Con's: Hard to insert, cannot be used regularly,
So far this what I could gather and I want the experienced users to share their opinions on these and if you can more to the pros and cons that would make me and other alike to take a concrete decision.
Regards,
BiDarkChocolate.
PS :- I never owned a sex toy ever. This will be my first purchase
I have a Progasm Classic, and us it quite regularly. It's not hard to insert either. How do you know such information, when you do not own, nor you have tried any Aneros?

As I have mentioned I read on the forums and the pros and cons are the experience of various users...thank you for suggestion. 🙂
BiDarkChocolate,
IMHO, your list of Pro's and Con's has pretty well answered your question for you.
If the Helix Syn has the advantages you suggest and the Progasm is not suitable for frequent use, it seems to me that the Helix Syn is the obvious choice. I believe the Aneros Wiki suggests that the full-sized Progasm is best suited to more experienced users and I would heartily agree with that sentiment.
The Helix Syn seems to have become a favourite amongst those seeking to become rewired. Forget the reputation for being difficult to clean. In the end, that is not a problem and is exaggerated anyway.
You might even consider the MGX Classic as a starter as this tool seems to aim more directly at the prostate. Given the experiences you have apparently had so far, I believe this one should warrant serious consideration.
In the early stages, you will be looking to have a good three sessions each week. If these are to be shortish sessions (a couple of hours or so), I'd go for the MGX. If you want to 'pig out' on longer sessions, then the Helix Syn would be the preferred option.
@Pommie
Why is the Progasm best suited for experienced users? The Progasm Classic was my first Aneros. I got more than stellar results from it (and still do to this day) on its maiden voyage. My results were achieved in an hour.
@Pspotsquiter,Simply because it is quite big!
It certainly is big for those starting out on the journey and is still too big for me!
I started with the Eupho Syn, which I like and is not difficult to clean, but in hindsight wish my first purchase had been the Helix Syn. Within the next week or two I plan on purchasing my second Aneros and will get the Progasm Jr.
I'm not sure why the progasm is always touted as being for advanced users. My husband had very limited (only my fingers) before the used aneros....he finds the Progasm to be his favorite choice, no pain or anything upon insertion the very first time. His first session he had a dry o within about 10 mins...if you read Amazon reviews the Progasm gets the best reviews out of all the aneros products. He also experiences that it takes way less time to get where he needs to go than with the helix. I get that some say it is big...but i think relaxation and taking your time is the key...and being totally aroused. However to each his own.
I couldn't choose between my two favorites. I love the way that my helix syn can slide and and do the job so quietly and presist. Then you have the progasm ice who is bold but also gentle and gvies a nice pound with each orgasm.
The Progasm Black Ice doesn't need to be "agressive", though it certainly can be. It's all in how you use it. Your PC muscles provide the gas pedal, in effect. Also, agressiveness is not necessarily a "pro" if you are seeking a more subtle and refined experience. I included both in my initial set, as I was fortunate enough to be able to afford more than one right away. My reasoning was that the robustness of the Progasm would more easily bridge me from my previous pathological paradigm to the health-promoting sustained sublime states that the Helix Syn can bring on more gently. In my case, then, I viewed the Progasm as the "beginner's" choice for me, and am working my way up to the gentler tools, sorta backwards from what others have done. You'll have to find your own way, and it will not be like anyone else's. It may not matter so much which one to get first because chances are you'll get more sooner than you might think. The devices might seem expensive, but in what context? They are being marketed as sex toys, but they are, in fact, in a league of their own and cannot be reasonably compared to things like dildos and plugs.
I started just a few days ago and may still have a long way to go before experiencing the involuntary response. Until I reach that point, it's impossible to tell which specific tool will behave best under those conditions.
As a side note, I would guess that the decision to start marketing the devices as sex toys has enabled the company to achieve considerably higher sales volume, which then enables lower prices, higher quality, and a greater variety of carefully-nuanced products. Unfortunately, it sets up an extra hurdle for some newcomers to recognize and overcome, though it may be a bridge for others.
@Thruster
Ha ha! You have proven my point! I started out with a Progasm Classic. I then added a Progasm Jr, and most recently a Eupho Classic. If I feel if one starts out with a Progasm, then one will better be able to appreciate the subtleties in movement, of the smaller Aneros.
@BiDarkChocolate, there is no answer to your question. Until you try one or the other you will have no idea what works for you. I think simply buy one try it for a couple of months, see how you go, then buy the other. What works for one may not work for another, or both may work just as well. It sort of sounds like you are going to shoot yourself in the foot. When, if ever, you buy one its going to be so loaded with other peoples experiences and so overloaded with your expectations that you could be in for a very rough ride. The experience is waiting for you - so buy one, if not sure be brave and buy the smaller one. Alternatively, If you are serious about this you are going to end up buying both. SO BUY BOTH AND BE DONE WITH IT.
I got more than two right away. For where I'm coming from, my first baby steps are best being served by my Helix Syn and Progasm Red Ice. Just one of them alone, either one, would not have been enough for me and would have caused me much confusion and frustration. Yes, just get both right away. They're actually not expensive at all considering how well they're made and what they do.
The helix for me is the most enjoyable, i have exsperianced mind blowing super O's from it.It seems like every session is a adventure that is unique to itself, and i have the progasm, in witch its got a hole differant journey of its own, i like to use it evey once in a wile , it just mite be too agressive for use all the time unlike the helix i can use as much as i want to, and it AlWAYS does me justice. I would recomined the helix b the beginning to the aneros jeourney , you will not be dissapointed.
While the Progasm is a bit more difficult to insert correctly than the other models, don't let that stop you from buying it. I use it regularly so there is no issue there, and it's my favorite model that gives me the best results. My only word of caution would be to make sure you are used to and comfortable inserting something that large in you. Otherwise the smaller Helix might be better until you become more comfortable with anal and prostate play with these devices.
GET BOTH! I started with the Progasm classic and 2 years later I got a Eupho Classic. I love my Progasm but the Eupho is like a European sports car (small and nimble) and in my opinion feels better.
The Progasm Jr is more effective than it's big brothers. I do like the texture of the Ivory over the smooth surfaces of the other models...
You've convinced me! I've ordered a Progasm Ice to add to my helix and Progasm, Jr. Well, it's not quite that way. I left on a two week business trip to the US and when I arrived I realized that I had left both my devices at home! ;;) so I've ordered the Ice post haste and till then I've been practicing A-less, something I have set as a new adventure. Two days ago I had a near O going A-less for an hour early in the morning. Necessity is the mother of A-less! (Sorry for the slide off topic)
