I first purchased the Helix Syn and had great success with it early on. For the next step in my journey I wanted to try a different model. After lots of advice from users on here I purchased a black Progasm. I had a lot of questions about each and the members here were very helpful, so I thought I’d write a review and compare the two as a way of giving back to the community.
Helix Syn
This was the first toy I purchased. As I mentioned, I had early success. When I first looked at it I was a little intimidated because I had never tried anal play. But after lubing it up, it fit in comfortably. The helix is like a sensual lover. It takes its time. It will cover a wide area of your prostate, always aware of your pleasure. It’s more like a dance between you and the toy. It does take over but you don’t feel out of control, except maybe during Super O. It is very agile and moves around quite a bit.
Progasm
This was my second toy. It is very different from the helix. When I opened the box I was very intimidated. It was a well found feeling as it took a while before I was able to get it in. Unlike the helix, the progasm is not a lover. It feels more of like a fuck partner. It takes charge for sure. You are at its mercy, and it will give you a good “fucking”-I use this term because that’s what it feels like to me. It is large and will bang around, whereas the helix feels like a finger rubbing your prostate the progasm feels as if it is ramming a shoulder into it. They are two very different orgasms. I guess you could say the progasm is like a “bull in a china shop” . When I first got it I never thought I would use the helix again. But over time I returned to the helix. I use both now depending on my mood, sometimes I will use both in a session. The helix provides me with prolonged play, subtle prostate massage that culminates into a mind blowing orgasm. It’s almost like edging. The progasm is rougher, for me it results in quicker orgasms. They are more focused though, not an all over one like the helix. But they are intense! I feel zero control when it’s in, it definitely takes over.

Thanks for the review! I've been contemplating "graduating" to the Progasm from the Helix for some time now and this helps.
How is removal of the Progasm for you? I find the Helix takes some work for me, and can be a bit of discomfort getting out after a good long session. Almost like my body has locked on to it. I can't imagine the Progasm is any easier.

I would say the progasm is a little more difficult to get out. Nothing that would prevent me from getting it though.

I make sure to use plenty of lube for the pro and when inserting and removing the motion should be a scooping motion, i have had no problem when using this technique

The first Aneros models I purchased in late December 2011 were Helix Classic, MGX, and Progasm Classic. The first two models looked intimidating enough. Progasm Classic was HUGE! Those three models scared me from attempting an Aneros session for a good six months.
Then in March 2012, I purchased Helix Syn when it first hit the market. But still I postponed having my first Aneros session until June 3, 2012 a few months. It slipped in easily that evening which pleasantly surprised me.
A month later in July 2012, I graduated to Maximus for the first time. It took some weeks for me to get used to it. Maximus then prepared me for Progasm Classic and Progasm Classic which I began using in September 2012. It took me a good four months for me to get used to my Progasm models and a good year further before all my Aneros models began giving me abundant Aneros pleasure.
I found that persistence and patience with all my Aneros models paid out general dividends in sexual pleasure down the road later. I found that having regular sessions even with Progasm build upon each other in effectiveness.

Just had my first ride with the Progasm tonight. Decided to upgrade to it from the Helix Syn.
All I can say is "Holy Shit!". I was amazed. Using the scooping motion it slide right in, and as advertised it was aggressive. I was able to "give in" to it pretty quickly and had some very intense Os. About four of them in a very exhausting 45 minute session.
Don't know if I'll be able to go back to the Helix after this. In fact, as I'm writing this I'm getting the urge to go put it back in and have another go. A craving I've never had with the Helix. Best $60 I've spent on myself in a long time!
