Heart Beating out of Chest!....What does this mean?

Hello,

I've been using the Aneros for about 4 years with limited success. At this point I would say I've had about 10 mini-O's although I'm not 100% sure.

Last week I felt particularly in the mood for a session and was extra stress free as I was off from work.

About 30 min. into the session I felt like I was very relaxed and "slipping away" which for me may produce a mini-O about 5% of the time. Suddenly my heart started pounding VERY strongly and with a quickened pace. Not racing but faster than at rest. At the same time I felt a small wave of pleasure building around the Aneros and my general buttocks area. It was slight and was building VERY VERY slowly, but I had the feeling that if I could let it go long enough it would produce something extremely powerful.

But I was very focused on my heart. To the point of thinking it was dangerous. Needless to say things died down and the session ended.

Questions:

1. Is this pounding heartbeat normal?

2. Was this a "breakthrough" and something I can build on to get to the next level?

P.S. I'm 41 and very active with no known heart issues.

I *might* be experienced enough by now to answer this, just wanted to take a stab at it as teaching is the best way to learn.

1. I personally have experienced palpitations followed by a building of pleasure as well, so I welcome it. I think it's amazing that a piece of plastic gets my heart pumping like that. It seems to be a common thing for many and would have to be an extreme case for it to be dangerous.

2. I can only imagine that it's as much of a breakthrough as any other signs of progress, but may only be part of a number of milestones that lead to the "next level."

Hello, hampton.

As others have said, above, what you experienced is "normal" and an indication that you're on the right path. Agreed.

The tough part for me and many others here is maintaining relaxation and going with the flow when the big effects start to kick in. These days, I can almost always let it happen, but sometimes an instinctive panic sets in and that's the end of that "wave." Let it be and catch the next one; it may only be a few minutes down the road.

Cheers,

Dave

hamptonbdsm,

I can fully relate to your experience. I am in my 70s and have been on this journey for almost two years. I also suffer from elevated blood pressure and am on medication to keep it within limits.

One of the first indications that I was receiving any response to the presence of my Aneros device was that my heart began to race and I felt as if I was running a hundred metre sprint! When I had become accustomed to this effect, and it seems to be doing me no physical harm, I look upon it as a form of aerobic exercise!. I still have a raised pulse rate during the best parts of my Anerosessions but have simply come to accept this as a positive sign that I am headed towards some sort of orgasm.

For what it is worth, during sex with my wife, she has expressed alarm that my orgasms seem so strong she thinks I am about to have a heart attack. All that's happening is that I am simply enjoying what is going on and expressing it!

Enjoy1

Pommie & Korkelz;

You might remember that American politician, Nelson Rockefeller died in the arms of his lover at age 70. I would assume that most guys who die in the saddle, so to speak, die happy. Probably more enjoyable than dying in your sleep. I say, rock on, old dudes! (...and that includes myself.)

Cheers,

Dave
