I know this is an "off the wall" kind of post, but something I have been pondering for quite some time.

Is it a coincidence that so many people who post on this forum are obviously very intelligent? I think not!

From the veterans here to the newbies, there is a wealth of incredible information. Even if it is a subject that I am not that interested in, it always amazes me how educational the posts are.

My point is.......Usually, an intelligent person is more open to new ideas and less afraid of the unknown(Aneros journey). Why did we all end up here? How did it happen that we all incorporated Aneros into our lives. Intelligent people are usually more willing to listen and just give advice when it is asked for. Intelligent people are not likely to give advice on a subject without proper knowledge and research. This sounds very much like this forum.

I am not at all talking about my own intelligence, but simply wondering why so may intelligent people have gathered in one place? OR, is it a coincidence?

@GForce
"Off the wall" is my favorite.

I think Aneros with their cool tools/toys philosophy and the people running this forum simply got what they deserved. Good attracts good.

Plus it takes a sensitive mind and body to succeed on this journey, so it filters out most of the low brain activity people (i guess they don't even care... and with good reason). But high brain activity does not equal intelligence or at the very least wisdom (on the contrary you could be many times stupider... Yes i think of some specific people lol). The average age of the members may here factor in, as age tends to bring some wisdom.

And maybe also, you mainly read messages by people you think smart... Many others might seem to you quite stupid if they write and you read them.

Now, consider this, forums gather people willing to spare a lot of time reflecting on the core subjects and willing to exchange and learn from others. So on every forum you meet more knowledgable people and madmen than in society on average. Internet gathers the best and the worst of humanity.

This place is not too bad, I agree. It is what drawed me in and into aneros too.

Some of the veterans brought (or digged) pure gold here, it's too good not to want to keep the flame burning, or at least try to learn it all yourself.

@Canacan, referring to low brain activity people, we call them mouth breathers here lol. But to the topic at hand I'm not so sure its all intelligence but also an inquisitive mind, someone seeking something more then what the status quo has to offer.

I don't consider myself exceptionally intelligent. Especially on the emotional level. I have trouble connecting with people, and to get really excited/passionate about things.
But, I get intrigued by stuff. I can learn the guitar because I want it, not because I dream myself some kind of rock god.
I play with the aneros because anal stimulation was fun, and I wanted to explore it further.

Intelligence - unfortunately, is almost always connected to mental capacity. Of course, we have all heard of emotional intelligence - the capacity to feel, sympathize, and empathize. And, as many surmise, there are other intelligences - physical, communicative, intrapersonal, interpersonal, artistic, spiritual - and I'm sure others. In my opinion, the beauty and wisdom of this Aneros experience is that it touches, or links to, many levels and genres of intelligence. So, now we have been introduced to a journey that develops our intelligences - just the way they should be for each of us as individuals. And the process of growth is wrapped in questions. Ask, seek, allow, receive. Grow.

A most beautiful thread, guys, from one who is super horny for an Aneros session later on today. Distractions and interruptions kept me away from sessions since last Monday. What I appreciate so much about this site is its collective intelligence in the Forum, Chat, and Blog section. But even more so is the collective sexual energy here. For older guys like me, the Aneros in its various models has been a godsend to rescue me two years ago from a moribund sexual appetite and apathy. The Aneros deep down inside me has invoked in me memories of that nascent sexual vibrancy I discovered in masturbation in early adolescence!

Thom./BiglansDC, savoring his sweet Aless this morning!

Thanks everyone!
I knew this would be interpreted differently. I have loved reading the responses so far.
Maybe it's just that we have a large number of English majors or creative writing specialists in this community?:)

Hi guys,

It has gotten to the point in my sessions that my Aneros tools have been a quintessential language teacher in learning or deciphering the sexual language of my body. The results of such language instruction has been absolutely sublime!

I've just registered, but I've been lurking on the forums for the last two weeks since starting my journey. I have noticed that this place seems to be friendlier and more intelligent than the average internet forum.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I would really think that the open-mindedness and patience required to succeed with the Aneros has a lot to do with it. I've read a lot of comments about the Aneros on other places around the web, and many of the ignorant and impatient people are quickly filtered out.

The fact that it involves sticking something up the butt instantly removes most of the ignorant people. Add in the fact that it doesn't start instantly working magic when you do get it up your butt, and there goes a lot of other people. What you're left with are the ones smart/patient enough to keep at it, and these are going to be generally pleasant people.

Well, that's just my two cents.
