You have to wash a new one a couple of times, get it up to body temperature, lube it with Astroglide (trust me on this,) and don't use the end cap. Used properly, Fleshlights are excellent alternatives to using your hand(s), and also a great way to retrain sensitivity if you're a deathgrip wanker...like most guys.

As far as cleaning, I always simply rub rubbing alcohol all over after a thorough rinsing, then store.

I think lube may have a lot to do with how things feel. I suggest xanthan gum. A little sprinkle inside, then have plenty of water on hand to keep things going. This stuff dries out kind of fast, but if you have water on hand it's not a problem.

@braveneworld the problem when returning these types of items is what the retailers will do after they received the product back.We're not talking about computer products, kids toys, DVDs/Blu-Rays, that can be still re-sold, here. But stuff that goes into our orifices, and are exposed to bacteria, infections and viruses of all kinds.
I hope they will trash it, immediately, upon receiving it. And not thinking of washing it up and try to sterilize it, for re-putting it up on sale, ever, LOL.

Specially those with very little professionalism and efficience.Some of these will accept returns, and maybe try to re-put the item they received, back on sale for a very low price (as happens with many Ebay marketplace shop-sellers accounts), and some will just not accept returns at all, denying to the customer, the possibility to have either a refund or a replacement, in case the item was not as expected or the customer, for some reasons, was not happy with the item at all.
