hi guys,

i already had 2 sessions with my aneros helix, following all the instructions i found on the board and the wiki. the sensation of having my prostate stimulated is wonderful, but i have a question.

i slide it in the first 2 inches then do a few contrations, but it never goes in the whole way, even if i contract my pc muscle as hard as i can.

see image.

is this on purpose or am i doing anything wrong?

Hi, Haku', how you doin'? Welcome to the forum.

OK, on your Helix, certainly one of my favorites. But I think you may have misinterpreted something you read on the Wiki. First of all, I hope you're washing up well, and maybe even flushing your rectum with warm water before you begin your Helix session. I find that it's MUCH nicer with a clean start. Buy an enema bottle at the drug store, be sure to discard the stuff in the bottle. You may want to remove the little rubber back-flow device from nozzle as it impedes the flow of water. Flush your rectum with nice warm water about 4 times (assuming you've had a good bowel movement earlier in the day, until you have a clean rectum.

Warm water will also relax your anal sphincter as well, and help make inserting the Helix a bit easier. Much discussion may be had regarding lubes and pre-lubing, so do whatever you like. I prefer a think coating of Vaseline and then some Astroglide X on the Helix before inserting, and using no pre-lube at all. Anyway, lube up any way you like.

Next start to insert your Helix. Go slow at first if you don't have much experience with anal play (you don't mention that) and as you insert it, rather than contracting, which make the sphincter tighter, PUSH like you're having a bowel movement while putting pressure on the Helix to insert it. This will further relax the anal muscles and allow the Helix to go all the way in.

You should have little trouble inserting the Helix to the max. Your rectum is over 8 inches deep, at least for most of us, and will accommodate your Helix easily. Make sure the P-tab touches your perineum, then you'll know it's all the way in. The handle should come up between your butt cheeks.

So, PUSH rather than do any contractions. Feel free to do so once the Helix is in place, but not before.

Good luck.

thanks for the detailed explanation.

...but...

first more about me: im 180cm tall, slim and in my mid-20ies.

when i felt like it i stimulated my prostate with my thumb whilst penile masturbation. tho im new to the whole aneros thing i know the basics. i always have an enema first and lube with vaseline as recommanded. i dont have problems with the insertion itself. even when i push it further with my fingers it comes back out a little bit. the p tab touches my perineum (tab squeezes against it when i do contractions) as well but the helix still isnt all the way in.

is the aneros even supposed to go in to the blue area?

i really want to keep this going - it just feels great.

I really appreciate the question and the diagrams helped make the answer very clear. I have had the same question in my mind

With the Helix, you do NOT insert it all the way to the T junction. I made that same mistake when I first started out and had been using my Helix incorrectly for almost 9 months! If you were to insert all the way to the T, then the head will actually overshoot your prostate and you'll just be stimulating further up the rectum. Honestly, with all the models, don't worry about where it should be, as they usually self-align to the position/depth they need to be.

In other words, you're doing everything correctly with the Helix. Don't try to insert it all the way to the T as you won't get nearly the same level of pleasure. Good luck!

hakunamatata,

If you'll recall the PM I sent you when you first joined the Forum I referenced the correct positioning, here it is again.
(PENDING INFO)

"This image accurately depicts the proper insertion location of your Aneros massager. The tip of the Aneros (while inside the rectum) pushes against the prostate gland. The walls of the rectum are very flexible and elastic, they will easily stretch to accommodate the shape of the Aneros. When the anal sphincter muscles are contracted, the Aneros with its P-tab arm is pushed up into the prostate and thus massages it. The P-tab also acts as an anchor/fulcrum/pivot point. When the contraction takes place the Aneros will rotate slightly about the center point of the P-tab thus pushing the tip of the Aneros forward into the prostate for added massage action. With both the Helix & Eupho models it is not necessary (nor really practical) to attempt to insert all the way to the "T" junction.

Upon insertion of your Aneros the proper orientation occurs automatically and naturally. The Aneros are already designed with a forward canted shape to be directed at the prostate, the P-tab assures correct orientation and alignment. Pinpoint accuracy of prostate engagement is NOT necessary. It does NOT require much force or pressure to stimulate the prostate sufficiently to generate the P-Wave phenomenon. As you become more experienced with your massager you will find it requires less and less pressure to generate P-waves, to the point you will be able to generate them without the Aneros present at all." Good Vibes to You !

thanks again guys. english is not my mother tongue, so i guess i might have missed this or misunderstood the meaning of the T junction part. the wiki is written very propery, but its kind of a novel when you read the first 4 category-pages at once. learning by doing is definitly desirable and experience reports are very interesting and helpful as well.

just had my third session and its hard to find my rhythm. it takes a lot of concentration and i think im focusing too much on breathing, tho i found out that about 50% contraction + deep breathing into the stomach lets the aneros slide over a bump (must have been the prostate?). first i thought the aneros is spinning around or falling out. that was weird and pleasant.

shit its already tomorrow, good night.

It will get easier as time goes by.After awhile your rear learns the moving bit that you describe over the bump.
It gets to a stage where you put in the aneros ad your butt takes a bite so to speak and says ok I remember this and just starts to move by its self. When it does this this puts you on the path to more and more good feelings.
For most of us it takes a long time but your prostate and anus keep learning how to pleasure its self. The more it learns the better it gets. I have been going 8 months and although you have some lulls along the way it just gets better and better.
If you are finding that you get in a rutt and are not progressing forward read the forum posts and or ask intelligent questions and then try different things / positions etc You should find that this helps get things moving again. You may find times when you dought that the aneros really works, but just keep plodding on. I have just kept plodding on and yes it seems to just get better and better.
I am not at super Os yet and have no idea what it will be like but when you have a good session a smile comes over your face and you thank yourself for not giving up.

Yes and there will be many more nights/mornings when you say "shit its already tomorrow, good night." 😀
Trouble is more often than not it is feeling so good you say "what the hell its so good I am not stopping! I will just be tied in the morning"
Keep on enjoying your new ride
