Last night I had my first session with the Aneros Helix Syn. I bought it after learning about the possibilities of prostate stimulation and reading up on these forums. Other than my own finger, I have never had anything up there except during hemorrhoid surgery about 7 years ago. I was initially worried about the size, but thankfully it was actually smaller than it looked online. After getting myself relaxed and lubed, I had no issues getting it in. I didn't expect much my first session so after two hours, I had some minor pleasure, but nothing major. I understand that it takes time and practice for it to really do its magic.

My problem came when it was time to remove the Aneros. I was lying on my side and trying to relax as much as I could. However, I had a hard time relaxing my sphincter muscles enough to get it out easily. When I finally did get it out, there was still lube on the device, so I don't think it was a lube issue (I was using KY Jelly). Does anyone have advice on a position or trick to help remove the device? Does it get easier after more uses?

My second question is regarding cleaning it. I have read that all you need is warm water and soap. I used Ultra Palmolive Antibacterial dish soap (Kills 99/9% of Bacteria...). Is this sufficient or should I look to find another method of cleaning?

Good to hear you experienced some pleasure in your first session. You may find that it has resulted in your prostate waking up, in which case your subsequent sessions will become increasingly pleasurable. Regarding removal of the aneros I can only speak from m own experience in that it is easier to insert than remove, but that gentle sustained pull will do the trick and when it is half way out a squeeze on one's sphincter will result in ejection. As for cleaning, I use hot water and an antibacterial hand wash finishing off with a rinse under the hot tap and then hanging the device up to air dry before returning it to its box.

@wulff That's an excellent cleaning technique and I've found plain bar soap and a wash cloth sufficient when I've used water based lube with my Helix-syn. Normal when I'm on the road and my sessions are less than an hour without a re-lube.

When I'm at home my sessions are longer with a nut-oil lube. Shea and Coconut oils along with my body chemistry tend to slowly accumulate on my Helix-syn and Vice so I do an occasional alcohol wipe or a run through the dish washer to strip the silicone surface of that "scum."

@BobaFett I'd hazard that you had absorbed most of the K-Y gel and were rather dry when you removed your Helix-syn. That can be a real 'ouch' and perhaps damaging. Remember that the Vagina, once stimulated, is a lube producer and we guys produce pre-cum. Although canines and some humans produce a film of oily sweat in their anal canal it's not good to depend on that for an extended session.

You might scan the Forum posts for 'other' water-based lubes that are more slowly absorbed.

Regarding the possibility of the K-Y lube having been absorbed, as mentioned by rook. I use a water based lube called Maximus which I find lasts very well even for long sessions.

wulff's method of cleaning echos my own. As to getting the device out, push out like your having a dump in a similar squatting position whilst pulling on your helix and it should pop out like a cork.

So I am 3 sessions in now. Second session was same as the first, minor pleasure but nothing I would call an "awakening". I haven't actually felt anything directly from the prostate, just random bodily sensations. Again I had trouble getting it out. Third session, I pre-lubed with coconut oil (good think I like cooking with the stuff). I've been reading the forums, even before purchasing, so I dipped a straw into the coconut oil, froze it and squeezed out little pellets. I lubed the Helix with KY, took it out, lubed it again, just to make sure I had enough. I was relaxing and listening to the HypnAerosession. I didn't really have any involuntary movement and I assume this is normal at this stage.

During session I didn't feel anything new. Wasn't expecting to, I understand it's a journey. This time I had more ease removing the Helix, so might because of the extra lube or that I was more used to having something up there, or a combination of both. I also just ordered some Slippery Stuff after reading up on it. Might have to try shea butter as well...

It's now several hours later and I'm experiencing a small sensation that I guess could be described as a very slight lightheaded feeling. It could be a random thing, but do you think it's related to Aneros use?

first, guys, throw out that nasty anti-bacterial soap. it is bad for your microbiome, causes bacteria resistance, and is bad for the environment. it is a ridiculous invention of the soap industry, to up the price of hand soaps, and create a market for something that is not needed. all you ever need is good old soap and water. that includes the aneros as well.

about trouble pulling the aneros out, you might try different positoins. also, ky jelly is pretty pour lube. it dries out fast.
