Hi all,
I just wanted to share my first experiences with the Helix.
I read about these products about a month ago and knew straight away that I had to try them. I quickly found a shop that sold them and picked up a Helix which I thought seemed to be aimed at the beginner. My initial impressions were of surprise as I thought they would be much larger in size.
When I got home I needed to try the thing out straight away. I read the instruction sheet, lubed up and stuck the thing in. I then followed the instructions - lay on my side and tried relaxing and deep breathing for a while but nothing really happened. After a while I discovered that both expanding (not too much) and contracting my sphincter seemed to feel quite nice but ultimately I ended up jerking off.
A few days later I tried again. This time I concentrated more on the contracting and expanding of the sphincter muscles which seemed to cause them to spasm a bit which felt nice. Again, after a while I gave up.
At this point I came to the conclusion that I was probably too impatient and that perhaps I was not anatomically suited to the Helix as I was barely aware that it was present during my previous two experiences.
This morning (three weeks since my first two attempts) I tried again. It started out in a very similar way to the first two experiences. Lying on bed, on my side breathing deeply and trying to relax. Again, I did the expanding/contracting thing and my sphincter 'seemed' to do its involuntary thing (it has hard to tell if I was doing it as part of my breating). I then decided to roll onto my front. Things then seemed to change - rapidly. The 'involuntary' contractions started to ramp up in a major way and I started feeling a little bit like I was on ecstacy. Pretty soon (within a minute or two) I was in a bit of a state, shaking, writhing around a lot and feeling rather orgasmic, but not in a way that I can easily describe as it was different to a regular 'orgasmic' feeling and much nicer (but without the 'release' component). This continued for around five minutes.
At this point I made the fatal mistake of thinking about my penis and wondering if I was going to come. I turned back on my side so that I could survey what might be happening down there. I then sat up and this seemed to break the spell. Needless to say that nothing had happened in my nether regions - no erection and no pre-cum. In retrospect this did not matter.
So, in summary. I was a bit surprised that this happened as I had written the Helix off. I was also surprised that without the 20 minutes meditation or any patience that 'something' happened. I think I would describe what happened as an extended orgasm, whether it qualifies as this 'Super-O' or not I'm not sure and I guess it doesn't really matter. Whether I can repeat this experience is the million dollar question. I will be trying again this afternoon.
One thing I will note that helped me that I have not read anywhere else is the expansion (ie. gentle pushing) of the sphincter as well as contraction. I also had to do these expansion/contractions much more gently than I had expected.
Anyway, I wish everyone good luck with their experiences.

Hey Dune,
I agree that you have to relax and not try too hard to reach the higher plateaus and eventual orgasms. I could not achieve orgasm until I learned that the contractions described in the instructions and on this forum were subtle and that I had to ride them out. You are definitely well on your way to greater sexual awareness. Congratulations.
