Hey guys, I am an experienced aneros user and I absolutely love the products I have a progasm and a helix. They both didn't quite hit the spot though and found myself modding the tabs with a heat gun to change the insertable length. I decided to design my own! I am thinking of launching on kickstarter let me know what you think? www.lingaman.com

The Aneros lawyers might have some objections if you infringe on their patents!

Looks promising, but have to agree with @imp you are going to have some trouble!

what a great idea! ib be a buyer - but don't know what the patents are. there are very similar toys to aneros out there, so not sure what has to be different or can't be the same.

The patents were filed by Aneros in 1996 and they only last 20 years so there's freedom to operate now

Very cool concept (adjustable). Will you manufacture these via 3d printing? Nice work!

Thank you! The prototype on the website is 3D printed but for production they will be injection molded which allows the use of biocompatible materials. You can get biocompatible materials for 3D printing but they are extremely expensive!

I don't think it looks very comfortable with those slender rods prodding into the body. Can you make some different attachments? I personally would prefer something a bit more spherical and less pronounced.

Awesome! Yes of course, I can ship worldwide. The product will be launching on Kickstarter on the 21st March, if its successfully funded I estimate they will be ready in 8 weeks. If you subscribe on the website I will be sending out emails before launch so you can grab an early bird deal

Hi @Pandabear the rods are the same diameter as the spherical balls on the perineum tab on the progasm. They are spherical at the ends and the prototype felt comfortable. The good thing with the screw design is it does allow different designs of attachments for future though

Im a little worried actually that because of the relative ignorance of prostate massagers in the wider sense, that it wont meet its kickstarter goal and get put in to production.

So my question is, if it doesnt meet its goal woudl you still consider making one when requested by those intereseted?

@The_Fury I totally agree and it is a concern, unfortunately there is still a stigma attached to prostate massage. This is something I am hoping to change. If Kickstarter accept the project I am hoping it will go a step towards making it mainstream acceptable. The problem if it doesn't get funded is that tooling to make this part is very expensive £12,500 so I would have to sell a lot of prostate massagers at £38 each to break even. That's why I need to meet my funding goal!

@Lingaman Well what I mean is if it doesn't get funded, judging by the fact you have a prototype there would you be able to produce a further few like you already have? Even if it were at a greater cost?

im even happy to go one step further and if you wanted I would buy one now and I could even be a product tester for you, if it were to help in the form of testimonials. Might help to spread the positive word plus would be happy to share the Kickstarter with others via whatever means available.

I see what you are saying but the prototype material isn't as strong as the production material so I wouldn't be happy sending that out to customers from a safety point of view. Also the material isn't biocompatible so again that would be a concern for prolonged use. I appreciate the offer however

That's a shame because honestly I'm not sure it's going to get funding, not because it isn't great but because this whole prostate massage thing is such a small market. Have you got places/forums etc that you can share this too? A marketing plan set up?

i will definitely put money toward it but you're gonna need hundreds of not thousands of others to do as well...

Sorry pressed send by accident! I am hoping to sell extra screw on tabs in different sizes so you could choose one that would allow the device to be inserted further

@The_Fury you are right I need a good following before launch to get the ball rolling on kickstarter. I am currently posting on Aneros sub reddit and also on Twitter. I would appreciate any help spreading the word though! Could you suggest anywhere else I would post? Thank you for your support!

There is a super o forum somewhere I think it might be Reddit as well, there is also the anerosuser.tumblr and some other places. You can also put it on YouTube and perhaps see if places like red tube etc will allow videos

hey Lingaman! Nice idea. I would suggest have the forward tab be screwed at the base of the unit and not at the right angle. Then have a variety of right angle lengths as well as tip lengths. This will help people find the sweet spot easier plus control the depth/pressure. Love this! (Hey Aneros! You should think about this adjustable capability iso having users mod the device)
