Dud sessions

I'm sure this must happen to everyone from time to time, but it seems like a total let down. You feel aroused and "think" this should be a good session, but what happens? You start to feel like it's starting to go well and some p-waves start and then it all starts to fade away and you simply want to just turn over and fall asleep even though I had some coffee earlier. WTF?

Expectations are too often met with disappointments!   To me, it's like golf; sometimes it's a great shot, sometimes, the darn stick lands in the pond along with the whole bag.

Better sessions are ahead for you @shinobi , don't give up.

True for me as well.  Also depends sometimes on what I've been eating, because if my body won't clear itself out properly or my anus is absorbing more water that day (or if I have diarrhea) things just don't go smoothly.  I keep hearing that my body will tell me when it's ready for another session and I'm learning to listen...problem is that I also need to seize the opportunity when it comes up, sometimes.

I've almost always had dud sessions and trouble staying awake. I find that arousal is what I was lacking. I had to figure out the best way to mitigate the refractory period that happens with ejaculation while still letting out some semen from time to time. Too long without ejaculating I'd feel pent up, but the refractory period would keep me from being highly aroused. Waiting a few days between ejaculations helps, as well as what's called "ruined orgasm." You tip over the edge into ejaculation but stop stimulation and relax so semen just kind of oozes out. The refractory period still happens somewhat, but not near as much. I've gotten p-waves more and more consistently doing this.

I'm getting more p-waves lately in general than I'd get in most of my Aneros sessions before (little or none) and I'm thinking lately that concentration on these feelings isn't as important as simply having enough arousal. During sessions if I get bored I might try watching YouTube or playing a game or something. Don't know if that would help with pleasure, but at least you'd stay awake I suppose.

It's very early days for me yet. But I find these helpful:

1. masturbating or edging a bit before the session (without porn)

2. getting excited about the session

3. when inserting the device, playing with it and feeling it exquisitely before final placement

4. focusing on the joy and pleasure of the device in the anus, the pleasure of being penetrated, the feeling of being taken by the device.

5. focusing on the pleasure felt with tiny strokes of the throbbing-with-pleasure prostate

This is keeping me aroused during the session and makes a huge difference.

During the session I may employ erotic fantasy (often do) to keep arousal up, or renew it if I have gotten sleepy. There is a fine connection between being a little sleepy and being highly erotically aroused actually.

Update regarding Dud Sessions. It seems my libido just isn't what it used to be. It's been slowly winding down over the past few years as I get older. What I have found is using a few different herbs has helped.  The latest one I've been trying is Swanson's Fenugreek Extract (Testofen). This has definitely boosted my libido, but the jury is still out if this has unwanted side effects. It can make me feel a little strange when I first take it and I had a hell of a headache the other day which I don't know if it was because of this herb. I have better luck with Black Maca overall as that has no real adverse effects. I have also tried in the past Tongkat Ali, but I find this way too strong and not really in a good way. Also, side effects from T boosters can be anger and increased aggression which isn't that great either. I also find if you do the same "routine" session too many times, it will just plain get boring and you have to change things up to make it more interesting, or it will be a another dud.

I'm sure we all get them from time to time, I know I do.

Take some time away, relax and come back to it in a week or two. Wait for your body to tell you it's ready. You'll know.
