Hey forum, been a while since I posted so I thought I'd throw in an update for you.
The progasm and I remain excellent partners. A big problem for me is still energy. I really need to attack a session with a lot of energy otherwise I'll just roll over and fall asleep.
I must have had the prograsm for well over a year now..and I have to say, it still throws surprises at me. I rarely have a dud session anymore, the only dud sessions I have are when I've got in from work and I've got nothing left in the tank. You do gradually start to get a feeling about the right time to lube up and stick it in. If you're not fired up and ready to go, the aneros will likely just sit there and do nothing.
I had a pretty awesome time with it last night, one huge O which took a little time to build. The great thing now though, is that I start off on a higher level of sexual energy so I don't have to build much! I had all the contractions of an orgasm but no ejaculation. If I had more energy I would have gone longer without doubt, but I got home at 8pm after a long day at work and I was pretty tired.
I hadn't ejaculated for a couple of days so in terms of sexual energy I was ready to play ball of course, so it was all good.
The general feeling which I get to pretty quickly when I insert the progasm now is one of strong orgasmic energy bordering on orgasm but not quite, it's an extended peak which goes on for a long long time and it's very pleasurable. The progasm usually moves about a bit massaging me into ecstasy.
Position-wise I only go for one position and it works for me. I lay flat on my back legs straight out, hands by my side. Having the legs straight advocates a quicker orgasm...in my early days of aneros, I experimented a lot more, tucking pillows under the knees can allow better movement of the progasm. I figure I want to get to a quicker orgasm, or at the very least be starting to get those seriously intense feelings of pleasure quickly, no messing around.
This can be counter-productive for guys that cum at the drop of a hat, but I've never ejaculated as a result of the progasm so I know I'm fairly safe. The thought of ejaculation gets me off, but I know I'm in no danger of that happening if the progasm is inserted. So it's kind of a tease which will end in a pay-off but the surprise is in not knowing how big it's going to be.
The dry orgasm last night was certainly unexpected, it doesn't happen very often to me...in fact I can only think of two other occasions when it happened.
Anyway to end the events of last night/this morning, I woke up just after 6am on a cold autumn morning feeling horny as hell and masturbate. Even after I'm done, I still have a ridiculous amount of energy. I'm awake and alert and ready to go after only a couple of hours of sleep.
As has become my custom, I will ask the forum for feedback on something which has been bugging me a little, how on earth do you guys handle/control the sexual energy? The tease last night went on for literally hours and I was so worked up that by this morning I had to release. It seems I have a little way to go to get to that level of discipline and control.
thanks for reading forum, happy aneros-ing...that should really become a verb. Maybe it'll catch on.

Hi Magma,
I have also been puzzled by the ups and downs of sexual energy. I have tried to monitor what is going on with a calendar to see if there is any correlation there. What I have found over the years is that the sexual energy is actually a lot of fun to play around with. In my earlier years, there was none of that. Being horny meant ejaculation. Now I hold onto that sexual energy for a longer period of time and find that I have some remarkable sessions. I feel that ejaculation is important so I don't hold it off too long, I am just saying that experimenting is fun.
Increased sexual energy also helps me be more alert when I would otherwise be tired.
I've also noticed the sexual energy ebbs and flows over my 30+ years of sexual activity. As a kid, I could wack off two or three times a day multiple times a week. It became kind of routine and then I'd stop for a while and feel the energy build up. I've read about a male testosterone cycle of 72-hours, meaning that once ejaculation occurs, a healthy male within 72 hours will feel a strong desire for sex again. This is a built-in biological need. There's also been the research about frequent ejaculations helping to prevent prostate cancer and frequent orgasms being an indication in longevity and lower heart disease. With the Aneros, I've found that if I use it and refrain from ejaculating, it keeps me energizes and feeling alive all day and then when I have sex with my wife, leads to incredible orgasms with huge amounts of cum. If my wife fingers me during foreplay after an earlier Aneros session, I can have almost immediate multiple orgasms from this and go on for 45-minutes or more. Use of the Aneros has resulted in a much higher production of pre-cum than I've ever notices. The other day, after about an hour of Aneros use, I had a literal pool of it on my leg and it kept coming in a steady flow...which feels great and it a huge turn on.
Hello magma1984, 🙂
Nice to hear from you again. I'm glad things are going well with your Aneros journey. I've just recently started experiencing dry-O's also.
I think the handling of the energy thing is just a matter of getting used to it. When I first started seriously being able to abstain from ejaculation for for multiple days in a row, I thought, my god, how do I handle this sexual tease/energy of not masturbating and ejaculating on a regular basis. But I've found that over time I've gotten used to it. And so far, it is all where you place your focus. At home I often feel tingles and twitches in the pelvic area. But when I'm out and about doing things, it's not something I often pay attention to, so I rarely notice them. Or if I do, they are at a much more subdued level.

Great thread & I identify with all that's been said. Many 60-day at-sea line periods provided "experiments in abstinence and exhaustion." 👿 In my 30's and 40's, my edge seemed to peak in 3-4 days. Anything beyond a week seemed to not add to my edge then it was downhill. Now, "more mature" I find my cycle more variable.
A couple of times during our marriage, my wife and I have compared out sexual energies to biorhythm calendars. Even post-menopausal we see a correlation. I've been playing with -- http://www.whitestranger.com/ -- It charts both traditional cycles and the "I-Ching" awareness/spirituality cycles.
I'm cautious about freeware so make no guarantees. I've been running this for 4-months and McAfee's security suite hasn't alarmed yet. For the more paranoid, there are some Eastern European connections with this program; however, it's hosted in Houston and we know those folks are OK! 😀
This is relevant to what I am going through right now – I am a newcomer, just ending my second month with my helix, and am still on the ground floor. I have been avoiding ejaculating as much as possible in order to keep my prostate charged so it will be sensitive to the aneros. When I was younger this would have been far more difficult if not impossible, but now I am finding several interesting things.
First, it seems possible to train oneself to re-interpret the sensations. All my life I have interpreted the sensation of a need to ejaculate (which I assume indicates a loaded-up prostate) the way I assume most of us do: a desire to cum, a need for relief from the constant signals emanating from the pelvis, along with a growing sense of urgency and frustration if for whatever reason there is not an opportunity to ejaculate. In other words, a need to discharge that built-up sexual energy in the way we’ve done it all our lives.
What I have lately found is that by concentrating on the pleasurable elements of those pelvic signals, and constantly telling myself that the good feeling outweighs the other signals, the overall feeling has now become one of pleasure. The desire to ejaculate is still there, and sometimes I lose control and give in to it, but most of the time I am now more able to enjoy the low-level pleasure as an end in itself. I have described that pleasure in other posts as my pelvic glow, and I imagine my prostate is a glowing coal except that instead of heat it is radiating pleasure. For a while it was there all the time, now it comes and goes. Even though I haven’t had any orgasms with the aneros yet, the sessions seem to sensitize the prostate and keep it glowing for a long time.
The impetus for me to even hold off long enough to discover this was so I could remain sensitive to the aneros by keeping the prostate filled and sensitive. Otherwise I would never have gone off my 3-4 times a week ejaculation routine and would never have discovered this. Now I am easily able to hold off for ten days or more between major ejaculations.
I say major, because my second discovery is how essential the practice of edging has been in this. I had never before even known what the word meant, let alone tried it. I think I used to be afraid that if I somehow held back an ejaculation it would break something. I’m at the point now where I do it every few days and most of the time here’s what happens:
I stop masturbating just before the point of no return, when I feel the first drops of cum beginning to move into the penis. In a few seconds, a couple of drops of cum appear, but usually no more, unless I miscalculate.
There is an orgasm, and most of the time it is nearly as strong as a full-ejaculatory one, and sometimes lasts a little longer.
The best part is, it seems to nicely satisfy my desire to ejaculate, and yet there is little or no refractory period. The prostate keeps its nice glow, everything stays sensitive, and I continue to feel that priceless energy that seems to radiate out of the pelvis.
Sometimes I will do this three or four times in ten minutes. The successive orgasms are weaker and there is little or no cum, but it feels very good. I assume it will be possible to extend the pleasure as I improve the technique. This only works if I use my cock ring, otherwise I can’t control it.
Hopefully, the few drops I release are enough to protect the prostate from the toxins that result from the breakdown of stale fluid.
Though I have just stumbled on this particular trick thanks to the aneros, I have long heard about various eastern disciplines in which men seem to have far greater control over each stage of the process, having practiced endlessly and exercised extreme discipline, and where they are able to derive pleasure from parts of the process that we impatient westerners normally skip over in our urgent rush to the finish line. I lifted this quote from Usonomo’s recent post on “Male Version of Female Ejaculation,” which discusses some techniques in use in Asia:
“A traditional ejaculatory orgasm feels pleasurable during the moment of ejaculation, but the male version of the female ejaculation feels pleasurable during the build up to the ejaculation. The ejaculation itself is merely a product of the build up of pleasure, and not necessarily the means to an end.
A traditional ejaculatory orgasm is "ejaculation providing pleasure", while the male version of the female ejaculation is "pleasure providing ejaculation"…
So much to learn…
woodsman...thats quite a response, many thanks for posting, thanks to all of you for responding to what was quite a poorly written set of disjointed thoughts...i haven't written for some time and it shows.
I've read texts in which the lamas are said to have an exercise for re-channeling the sexual energy to deal with the practice of longevity through celibacy. They would empty the lungs of air, bend over in order to force the last traces of air from their lungs, before returning to an upright position. With hands on hips, they would then pull the abdomen in as far as possible and hold that position for as long as they could before they had to take another breath.
This, they say, re-channels he reproductive energy up through the other chakras. And releases the desire to release.
Another answer to my poorly phrased question I suppose, but i thought i'd put it down because i remembered it this morning 💡

Every morning I do an exercise similar to this, actually it has two parts.
1) Bend over and exhale, diaphragm as high as possible making a hollow under the rib cage, raise into upright position with knees slightly bent and with belly button pressing on backbone (or as as close as possible). While holding breath release and pull in stomach (a rolling like action). This quickly circulates the dormant energy in lower abdomen. Do as long as possible and slowly breath in.
2) first part the same, but when upright alternately tense the left and right recti (isolating the rectus abdominal strips (outer abs), one at a time) Repeat this left - right movement as long as possible and breath in in slowly.
Both exercises apart from the energetic benefits also massage all your internal organs (heart, liver, kidneys, intestines etc) - keeps the bowl movement nice and soft. This exercise is only done on an empty stomach.

Woodsman... that is a great line and so very true
I have been practicing a technique similar to yours although with much less dicipline. I edge beyond the point of no return and then wait for the ejaculation to occur, which will build and come forth in great spurts by doing nothing but waiting for it. right after the ejaculation occurs I can immediately then materbate to a traditional orgasm within just a few seconds which is usually as intense as the first, basically getting two for the price of one
not quite what you are doing - I may modify my technique... thanks for the tip
thhn: Very nice. Who could turn down a two-for-one deal?
I have a feeling we have both stumbled into the reality that orgasm and ejaculation are separate functions, and with practice you can have one without the other. In your case, you are able to hold off triggering the refractory period at least long enough to have a second orgasm, and in my case I am able to achieve a satisfying release while avoiding triggering the loss of sexual energy that normally follows within moments after an ejaculation.
Although most of us have grown up assuming the two are one and the same, or at least inextricably linked so that you can’t have the first without the second, I think the whole dry orgasm concept shows that this is not necessarily true, and our little masturbation tricks are possible only because the two can be separated after all.
My first dry orgasms six months ago were penile orgasms, reached by penis stimulation (described in my first post “My unusual path to ecstasy.” This was my first realization that orgasm and ejaculation might be separate functions. I suspect this is well-known by the masters, in fact artform writes the following today in the thread “Possible just using your mind to achieve a Super O?”:
“First, with Aneros and/or KSMO, we must successfully separate the ejaculation trigger/response from the orgasm trigger/response (JING).”
(if you’re reading this, artform, would you mind elaborating?)
My guess is that the initial stimulation (masturbation) elevates the nerves to the level of orgasm, and this then enables the ejaculatory response, but doesn’t actually require it. We only assume the two are one and the same because we don’t have the training to separate them. With more training and discipline, we might be able to have many more penile orgasms without ejaculating with each one.
I have always had a problem with delayed orgasm. It has always taken more work for me than I think is normal. Premature ejaculation has never been even a remote possibility for me. This has caused me frustration in the past, like an increasing difficulty coming during sex with my wife, but now in this new journey I think it is actually helping me experiment with the rewiring.
thhn, I've done this on occasion, years before Aneros and it actually has nothing to do with Aneros usage that I'm aware of. Just stimulate yourself to the point of no return and then just at the point you do reach it, stop stimulation and let the one or two ejaculatory contractions that follow (and that eject some semen and feel very good) come. At this point you can do one of two things. Either stimulate yourself briskly and have a satisfying second orgasm with ejaculation that empties the rest of your load or just stop and do nothing more and keep that sexual energy and desire going until later.
Slimjim:
that is true that my technique could be done with or without and aneros, however, I find that after I hit that point of no return, while I wait for the ejaculation, the aneros does some wonderful contractions that helps bring on the finale.
I didn't consider that if I stopped after the initial ejaculation and didn't carry on to the next, that I would be preserving the sexual energy. Once in a while, I don't hit the timing just right, and I can feel the ejaculate rising from my balls, it doesn't make the complete journey and like woodsman, I might get one or two drops to appear. Often at this point, my refractory period wil kick in and I will go flacid. Just like I had cum but didn't.
Regardless of how you do it.... it's quite pleasurable and fun to experment with
Here's a technique you might want to try. It's actually two techniques...Kiegel exercises and edging. It takes a couple weeks of Kiegels to build up the muscles. I'll assume everyone knows what Kiegels are (if not, Google it...their exercises that build the the muscles that we use to shut off our urine and can also be used to clampdown on ejaculate). With some practices, it's guaranteed to produce as many orgasms as you want from penile stimulation.
First, do a couple weeks of the Kiegels.
Next, as you're masturbating, don't use full hand stroking (or lube for that matter). This technique is done by moving the skin of the penis slightly over your erection with three fingers. It's done like this: Grab your erection with the thumb on the top side of the shaft penis and two fingers (the index and middle finger) on the underside (where the big central vein runs) of the shaft. Avoid touching the glans at all. The stroke starts by pulling the skin down slowly with those three fingers, stretching the skin of your penis until it feels tight but still pleasurable. You return the stroke upward, pulling the skin to it's original position and up slightly from that. This is not a fast stroke. In fact, the slower you do it, the better. It will take much longer to get to the point of no return with this stroke than a normal fist stroke.
As you keep going with this stroke, you will begin to produce a good amount of pre-cum, particularly on the downward stroke. It's very similar to me, to the amount of pre-cum with the Aneros, which is a lot.
As you reach the point of no return, it is the downward stroke that will bring the orgasm on. As you get just up to the edge, pushing down on the skin of your shaft, it will create the electric-like orgasm sensations in your glans and down your legs. It's at this point, as you can feel the seamen loading to shoot that you should stop pushing down on the skin and clamp your pc's muscles with a Kiegel just prior to the involuntary contractions of the penis, prostate and anus kicking in. Do this until the urge to splurge passes and you feel the twittering of the contractions subside. Rest a couple seconds. Your penis will be throbbing.
Start the stroke again and you'll get to the point of no return faster. Once you feel the orgasm coming on and the shooting sensations, again, stop the stroke and squeeze until the urge to ejaculate passes. By doing this sloooooowwwwwly, you'll teeter between the edge of blowing and not blowing a long time, until your penis and balls ache.
You can keep this going on as long as you want. I've had gone over an hour and a half and had 10+ orgasms in a row doing this. It's hard to do with a spouse but it could be fun to teach our partner how to do this.
When you're ready to blow, take it all the way to ejaculation and you'll shoot a massive wad, just like after an Aneros session, as this method causes a lot of seamen to accumulate in the vas deferens (sp?) and the prostate.
Warning: You have to ejaculate at the conclusion of these sessions or you will have the mightiest case of blue balls that you've ever had.

Absolutely great guys !!! Bingo!
My finding is that between edging and prostate stim with the Aneros I've increased the duration of my "pre-wet" orgasm from less than a second to over two seconds -- now long enough that I'm able to treasure it as a distinct entity between the PONR and ejaculatory release. This is almost what it was in my teens.
The more p-wave/mini-O results I get during journey sessions the more my Trad-Os during mb or coitus extend, timewise. (none have exceeded three or four seconds though)
My belief is that, as I wired into being a Monogamous reproductive animal for 55 years, my brain placed more importance on ejaculation than it did on the pleasure of orgasm. So, it progressively hastened the onset of ejaculation to bypass that 'needless' orgasm. (Regularly blasting semen all over a firm cervix was a very powerful sensation for a young ego driven male. )
I take some exception to the term, "re-wiring." I prefer to think of the "journey" as development of an alternate path to orgasm that can be enjoyed in its own rite. However, not having done that, it's just a 'surmise.'
In fact, not only are we trained by our culture to be monogamous, which runs counter to our primal instincts, it could be argued that evolution did not have the slightest interest in the length of our orgasms or amount of pleasure they gave us. It was concerned with only one thing: stick it in, deposit enough sperm to insure fertilization, and then get back to the full-time business of surviving. Watching animals do it, it’s often hard to tell if they are having any fun at all, and so many seem to be in a desperate hurry. Fortunately, we humans are masters at turning many of our basic functions into elaborate sources of pleasure.
newguy:
That’s a good description of your technique, and of the importance of the kegel exercises. In fact I looked kegels up in Wikipedia and found a close match to your description under the Male sexual function heading:
“…It is also possible that strengthening the pelvic floor may allow some men to achieve a form of orgasm without allowing ejaculation, and thereby perhaps reach multiple "climaxes" during sexual activity.”
That led me to the article on Taoist sexual practices, which goes into great detail about ejaculation control. Now I know what artform means when he refers to Jing.
man, do I need a bit more self control! I was trying these techniques - trying to edge just close enough to briing out a drop or two of cum but without shooting the whole load. I got there a couple of times and then I had one where I just flowed with pre cum - not a forceful orgasm, but a lava flow of clear liquid.
It took me over the mental edge and I could do nothing but wildly jerk myself off in a fit of passion, lacking all self control
Regardless of the weak nature.... it was great
