I totally agree. The forum especially is much more difficult to work with. I miss the colors as well!

We appreciate the feedback - we were fond of the old site too! We will be constantly working to improve the experience of the forum. The first big hurdle was getting the site to perform fast - that is now complete. If there are specific areas where the forum can be improved let us know at @aneros.com">websupport@aneros.com. Specifically regarding the colors, those will be changing here in the near future to more "Aneros-like" ones.

I can certainly say that, as somebody who wrote approximately 1200 posts on this forum, I am not happy to see that i am now a "junior poster" with 2 posts.

i sure hope you guys are working to restore those posts.

Agree, please restore the old forum!
The new webpage is slick and nice. but as a user its a barricade to find any good topics on the forum.
The colors are to white and doesnt fit the profile of aneros at all!
Keep the forum on black and dark colors, also for the sections of the forums use a iconic Icon per section for recognition of each different catergorie.
Also like darwin said, it aint fair for al the elite guys out here to lose there status and rankings..
My suggestion is to reuse the old forum and edit it to the current brandbook that has been used for mainpage.

The forum is now almost perfectly unreadable on iPad. Super tiny font, no zooming, rotation makes things even worse, blindening black on white. Thanks not.

Let's give it a chance. It's not finished yet and will, hopefully, be even better than the old forum when it's done.

Absence of color makes it hard to read - too bright. The font is way too small for an iPad.

6. in the page i am in right now, the floating header showing the page number and search box is interrupting the middle of the page. why should that thing float at all? <-------- this floating header is really, really no point at all. Especially it float at the middle of page instead of "always on top" like other site did.

OK, I found the floating header solution.
Because the "font too small" problem, I had to use the browser zoom function up to 140% to get the text big enough to see. THIS cause the header float at the middle of page. If I lower the zoom ratio to 133%. The header stay on top instead of middle.

No history in the chat so impossible to follow conversations other than the last few minutes -

The chat area now feels very gimmicky and immature. There's no history kept. (Although it's called Flashchat it uses Javascript, not Flash.) The software version being used is two years old, so probably not supported by the vendor (it even looks like they may no longer be trading -- the headline special offer on their website is for new year 2015).

As to the forum, it looks like Aneros have gone back to the software suite that allowed the hackers in several years ago. If this is the case you absolutely must keep on top of any updates for fear of repeating history.

Don't tell anyone, but you can override which "skin" the site uses by going into your account settings. The default vBulletin one is oh so much nicer than the Aneros skin.

Font still too small even with VB skin. I still can't zoom the pages to read the text!

I don't mind the new website layout. I lost my PM's but I think it works well and it's nice and clean.

Post counts for users are now updated as are the corresponding user levels. The script that should have transferred the data over from the old forum didn't pick these up. New Topics link fixed as well. More to follow.

For me, an important one still is the amount of white space in the listing of topics, for example in this page: https://community.aneros.com/community/general-discussion

Each topic takes up 5 lines:
- empty line
- topic title
- started by
- likes
- empty line

The actual content is really just two lines, so a page shows only 2/5 of the possible number of topics. As it is now, except for the stickies, which are not that useful to most users, all you can see per page is 10 threads. It is a pain to page and page to see recent topics.

At a minimum, you should lose the empty lines. if possible, also move the "likes" to one of the other two lines.

Yeah, it's more generic, but man I'm glad to be rid of those menu bars that were snapped to the top of the window. One of my pet hates.
