so, what’s the difference between models, is just shape and size or are there other things that are different. The descriptions on the website don’t help much.

Yes, strictly speaking, the difference is physical: shape, size, weight, and texture.

However, the physical differences will affect how the models are percieved and used by our own bodies. An example: imagine you are lifting weights. A 10kg weight will feel different to a 100kg weight - 10kg will be easier, 100kg will mean your muscles are under more pressure, strain, heavier breathing.

You might think a lighter weight is easier, now imagine you are lifting the same 10kg weight, and also a 1kg weight, which has been covered in oil. You will probably struggle more with the 1kg weight. This is texture differences.

Now imagine a 0.5kg weight the size of a house - easy to lift but too big and you would just make it roll and cant lift it.

And so on and so on.

The different models have different properties on how their are percieved and used by the body.
Standard advice seems to be to use the Helix and MGX when starting out.
After gaining some proficiency in anal muscle use and sensory perception of what's going on down there, then move to the larger or smaller models.
This is because smaller ones are easier to move if you know how to move them. And if you are sensitive enough to use them.
Similar for larger I think - but I never really felt that the larger works that well on me. Personal experimentation needed.

Some models like the Peridise and Tempo are all about making the anal canal move it in and out a bit like how you swallow food.

I’m interested in my first purchase of a massager. What model(s) is recommended for massaging with muscle contraction like kegel exercises? How about for when you are clothed and walking around?

@aventura726 Hey, man. You will get many different opinions on this, but if you want to start with a model that is soft, that you can learn and grow with and is a great 'medium size', you would be hard pressed to beat the Helix SYN. Even after many, many rides, it delivers orgasms that are mind blowing. I have sat on it, walked around with it, even fallen asleep with it inside my body for hours. It's forgiving, it's gentle, but do not underestimate its ability to blow your FREAKING MIND with pleasure. The aneros model is just part of the equation. You, and how you learn and adapt to this process is the real important part. Think of it this way: A more expensive camera does not necessarily make better photographs; the photographer's skill is the real key. Same with Aneros: as you become more 'seasoned', you may add models to your collection to get different experiences (fuller, more agile, more direct, more teasing, etc), but just starting out, keep up your kegels, and reading great tips from great guys on this forum.

Helix SYN, man. Go for it, and report back!

although the progasm is my favorite I would not recommend it for your first model
my first was the mgx and that's the one that gave me my first prostate orgasm so it holds a special place in my heart
I would start with a smaller model like that

I'm not sure why you would want to walk around with an aneros inserted? just having one inserted isn't going to teach you anything
