I had a breakthrough session today. I had good involuntaries that shook my whole body. I got there by holding a contraction of my anal sphincter for as long as I could. I would say 30 seconds. I found the perfect amount of contraction and breathing. The problem is the involuntaries stopped as soon as I stopped my contractions. I felt good as long as I held the contraction but I could not hold it for very long.

I would know peoples' experiences. I am trying to get to that magic zone where you orgasm for a long time. I have read everything available on the Aneros website and the forums and have not seen anything that helps me with this particular question.

Do you stop contracting when the involuntaries start or do you keep holding the contraction? If you do stop the contractions, do the involunaries keep going for you after you stop contracting? If you do not stop contracting, how long can you go? How do you get to the super-O as it pertains to contractions?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

For me, my body reaches a point where the contractions are completely involuntary. Sometimes, I do the slight voluntary contraction to get them going though. Sometimes pushing out gets them going as well. Be patient. Sometimes you need to just lay there quietly for a while for things to start happening on their own. Again, in my experience, even if you lay there and nothing happens, it's not a waste of time. I think it's just what your body needs in order to learn how to use the Aneros. Give yourself permission to do nothing; it's ok.

dtmsmith,

Thanks. This is exactly what I needed to know.

I was kind of worried that in order to get serious pleasure out of the device I would have to build my muscles to a strength sufficient to hold a contraction for hours. I did not think this was the case but I could not find anywhere that said to release the voluntary contractions when the involuntaries started. Getting an answer from the forum allows me to experiment and find what my body likes without wasting time holding long contractions.

Thanks again.

Trying too hard to make something happen is exactly the opposite of what you need to do. Relax completely and focus your mind on whatever sensations you feel, no matter how small. Let them happen (as opposed to making them happen) and enjoy them for what they are. Don't expect them to build to anything. Sometimes, the sensations I feel are not necessarily pleasurable but are interesting and new. I let these happen and observe them without trying to direct them. It's not always easy, but this is the thing you should be practicing (IMHO).
So, how long have you had your Aneros?

Thanks dtmsmith,

That is the next step in my journey. Getting mentally and physically relaxed then focusing on any sensation no matter how small.

I have had a Progasm for a year or more. Nothing ever happened so I did not use it much. Recently I re-read the material online and figured maybe the Progasm was too large. I am an experienced anal pro so I would not think size would be a problem. However, what I gather online is that movement is critical.

I bought a Helix a couple days ago. I had a good time on my first session. Not a super-o, maybe not a mini-o but it was better than nothing. We will see if the progress keeps up. I know not to go into a session with any expectations but I will be interested to see what happens now that I know not to over contract.

I also downloaded the Hypnaerosessions mp3. Hoping for the best.

I have another question. As I read through the available material online I see that some users say they just lay there and focus on the sensations and the involuntaries startup on their own. Others say the do some light pulsing contractions while others say they hold light contractions for several seconds. How do I know what works for me? Is it just a matter of trying different things until something works?

Do you have any more tips that are not in the forums, the Aneros website or the wiki.

There's much more wisdom from others than you'll ever get from me. I'm a relative noob. Just experiment with different things to see what works. As I said, the main thing is to enjoy the process of exploration as opposed to shooting for a goal. And, what works one day may not work the next. For example, this morning I used my Eupho and found that laying on my back with my feet flat on the bed worked best. This has never done anything for me in the past. Note that I have not yet had much success with the Aneros; my best feelings have come with Aneros-less sessions. I'm not sure where all this will lead but am simply trying to enjoy the new experiences.

I'm a relatively noob as well, but I've been very lucky thus far. Experienced my first Super O during my 3rd experience and haven't looked back since then.

I really do think that the key is in the relaxation... you can contract all you want, but if you haven't relaxed enough beforehand to allow your aneros to settle in, then you're just going to end up frustrating yourself, with a couple of butt gasms if you're lucky.

Gotta admit this is probably tough for a lot of guys. We're not accustomed to letting things happen to us - we have to be in control... in charge...

Just relax, relax, and relax some more. And then when you feel like you're completely relaxed, take a couple of deep slow breaths and relax some more. Your aneros will tell you when it's time to contract.

I must say that I was having trouble as well but the first time I listened to the Alana session mp3 it was a whole new ball game. It really helps you understand the idea of relaxation, breathing technique, the time and patience involved. Give it a listen. It will open up a new door.

Are you talking about HypnAerosession?

Yup...Owe all my success to it. It's just one more tool Aneros users should keep in the tool box.
