A while ago, I took the handles off both my MGX and SGX models, and for a time, enjoyed the different feeling. However, I've noticed the device slides out in the throes of a Super O, and I was getting fed up having to hold it there with my fingers, meaning I couldn't flail around in ecstasy!

Because of this, I bought replacement models, and I have to concede that I'm sold again on the use of the Aneros WITH the handle. When using, I like to lay on my back, knees bent, and the handle stops it falling out, and helps dig into the prostate when needed.

I also found the MGX (the smaller of the models?) was more prone to slippage than the larger model.

(Interestingly, both newer versions of the SGX and MGX seem to be slightly smaller and more kindly shaped than their older counterparts, plus the knobbly end on the SGX is missing, which I rather liked.)

Rorymuscle,

The SGX never had the knobs (nodules) on the end, the MGX did however. This is the model that is nowadays referred to as the MGX Classic. I'm not certain if it is still available at this time, since they've been slowly phasing it out over the last several years. And yes, I love those knobs myself.

Thanks for the reply, BF - now I understand which model is which! My confusion comes from sites in the UK selling the Aneros but interchanging the nomenclature MGX and SGX.

I think I might email HIH and ask if any older models are still available - I should hate to be without them, and those nodules seem to make a lot of difference (to me, anyway).

You can still get the Classic as Part of their Volcano Pack.

Looks like it's still available on the High Island site as the PS New.

Hey rorymuscle!

My SGX has the knobby end! Thought ALL did until the Next Generation came along??? The knobs do give you a better grip on the thing, I guess...

Was thinking of replacing this one also, since I too bobbed the tail and accidentally broke-off the perineum tab! But, I started having great O's all the sudden from this smaller one, using it in a chair???

Later, Hlaser99
