Cleaning up

@Tommygunn I find that laying on plastic is just too gross, especially in the summer! I prefer to lie-down on a small towel instead. This works for me.

@goldenboy I did do that,but I find lubes,and particularly oils seep through to bed linen,it was getting on my nerves.

@GGringo i don’t use a lot,I coat my toy,then a little dollop on the tip and that’s it,or I may use petroleum jelly,olive oil etc..oils are messy if they get places. Maybe mine gets out due to the squeegee effect..

I certainly don't use enough to leak and I've never had leakage issues. Lately I've been using this organic, non-hydrogenated shortening my wife brought home. It's pretty stable and doesn't leak out.

I read a post some time ago that said lube is overrated. I tend to agree with this, at least for me. I've tried the 5cc of Astrolube and got no better sensation than the 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of shortening I'm using now.

I've had some awesome sessions with nothing but a touch of Vaseline in and around my sphincter.

If I injecting 5ml of coconut oil inside me, usually there's a leakage

I spend most of my time on my side and then on my stomach if I'm using the Helix, so I don't have any issues with lube getting on anything. A washcloth on the nightstand for incidental cleanup, and a handy box of nitrile gloves for applying lube. And since I also haven't ejaculated, I stopped putting a towel down. With my luck, having said that, I'll go off like Vesuvius next session!
Having said that, I wouldn't mind going off, just to see what it's like!

Well so much for that record! I blame you @Tommygunn for this delightful mess I'm in! I guess tomorrow is laundry day. Oh well. The ex slept in the wet spot for 27 years, so I guess I can put up with it for one night!

@Tommygunn As I recall, I had a problem with leakage when using coconut oil. That's why I switched lubes!

@goldenboy if I may,what sort of lube do you use now? @Shadow66 I can accept no responsibilities for wet patches ;),some sort of plastic is the only guarantee,mind you though,at the end of a session,you need to peel it off your skin,interesting sensation,I’m sure someone on this forum will manage to have a dry-o from it :D.

I repurposed one of these silicone baking sheets. Cut it up to the same size as a paper towel and usually layer one on top of it so there's minimal waste per session. Works quite well and because it's only about a millimeter thick you don't really feel it. Cleaning is also no problem

When I was with a girlfriend who squirted excessively every time I fingered her or had sex with her (joy, oh so much joy), we got sick of washing sheets, so we ordered some "underpads" online. They are basically fabric-covered bits of plastic, meant for incontinence. They are more comfortable than a plastic bag, completely waterproof, and easily washable. In the best days of sex with her, we went through two of them and then a few towels (because once they have been squirted on they are soaked and cold to be on top of, not very sexy stuff).

My only moments that I spill lube are when injecting it. I don't know if I have a complicated anus, but about one in three times the syringe doesn't seem to be aimed in the right direction, and more lube comes out than goes in. I am getting better at it but it is never a fun way to start a session, as I need to dry very before retrying. However with water-based lube, it works for me to put my underwear I was just wearing under my butt, and there is no worry of stains... This is with a helix syn, lying on my side or butt in the air or on my belly.

@Tommygunn I'm using Slippery Stuff Gel for most sessions; quite safe IMO. I use Boy Butter Original from time to time as well.

Instead of putting a towel under me, I use a bath mat which is soft on one side but has a rubber coated base on the bottom so even if there is a bit of leakage it won't go through into the sheets

Interesting topic. I've always stuck to the same routine. Small pillow and towel on top then lie on my back.

Question for you all. When lubing up do you use your fingers first for prep? I've recently realised that I'm inserting my fingers then during session I sometimes use the same hand to play with my cock. Quite unhygienic I think so I've started using antibacterial wipes on mymhands after inserting.

Puppy wee wee pads...inexpensive and disposable.

Being new to prostate massage, I have not yet achieved any precum, ejaculations, milking etc. and so far have no lube leakage issues. I do place a bath towel under me just in case. When I get further along, I will probably look for a way to prevent the towel from getting messy. With that in mind, my prep involves putting a disposable nitrile glove on my right hand (I am right handed), then spread lube down to, but not including the handle/tabs.After setting the lubed HT on a small paper towel, I apply a little more lube to my finger to work in and around my anus. After I and the tool are lubed up, I remove the glove by turning it inside out (leaves no messy lube to get on something else), then put it elsewhere out of the way.

This leaves both hands dry so that I can grab the HT (dry) handle, insert it and get on with the session without any concerns about any mess. When I am finished with the session, I just clean the Helix and myself, and throw away the paper towel and glove.

Please forgive the detail. Sometimes I do get a little anal (pun intended).

@UKguy , before my sessions, I empty my bladder and after, while still standing at the toilet, I insert my middle finger in a little pot of lube and lube up my sphincter and anal canal. Then I wash my hands thoroughly and proceed downstairs to start my session. I keep water-based lube in a little contact lenses container in the counter in the bathroom.

Works for me.
