Can the Aneros be cleaned in very hot / boiling water with soap, or in a dishwasher?
Should any other type of disinfectant be used in addition to soap to clean it, e.g. rubbing alcohol or a diluted bleach solution?

Doctor Dan, hot water with soap works just fine. You can also let it soak in rubbing alcohol. Boiling water is fine as well, but we recommend that you don't place the device in contact with direct heat.

I would recommend hot water with antibacterial bath soap or hand soap and then cool water.

folks-

in general anti-bacterial soap is a BIG NO-NO. read up on it. it is ineffective except in breeding resistant strains of bacteria which are going to increasingly be a huge worry for all of us.

just soap and water is all that is needed, like how you wash your hands after using the bathroom.

Hi ALL!

I just keep a pump bottle of liquid hand soap handy (with hot water, of course!) and
occasionally I follow-up with a pump of liquid hand sanitizer or every so often I
clean them with alcohol . . .

I always give them a sniff test too! LOL!
