Or do you have to have silence or sexual type visual stimulation? I'm phrasing the question poorly, but can anyone just put their toy in, put on family feud or whatever, and relax totally and let the toy go to work, or will non sexual stuff nullify the feeling of the toy because it's too distracting from sexual pleasure? Reason I ask, is that if some in here say they can do it, I plan on giving it more of a try. It would be cool if I could just kick back and binge Netflix and still get to enjoy my toys. It hasn't worked thus far, but if others can do it, I'll keep trying. Whew! Sorry so long.
Never works for me. I have to concentrate and really give myself to it.
I regularly sit on my Aneros device in front of the TV and enjoy the sensation it produces. The Peridise is my favorite with helix a close second but the P tab becomes annoying after an hour or so. Never had a Super O in this situation
Had a session in bed early this morning. Began to fantasize about a prostate procedure I am preparing for; next thing I know I wake up, it is an hour later and I am still enjoying the ride!
@Spanishguy69, I'm quite astonished about your question. To me the journey is about learning to know my chakras, my vibes, my inner self. How to focus on the slightest sensations while watching tv? For now I can't imagine to give it a try and wouldn't know what for. Instead I'm thankful for my new favorite pastime and for every hour that new found and beloved hobby hinders me from watching tv series. But to each his own. I only hope you aren't robbing yourself of deeper insights and further progesses. Good vibes, most of all have fun! Expeciallly your personal favorite fun! And peace to the world! 🙂

I think for the OP and others out there, who are struggling, what you write is probably so far removed from their reality that it's not gonna mean anything to them. Chakras? Vibes? Inner self? That's like a master talking about flying to the moon, yet the aprentice hasnt even managed to jump. I think that sort of advice is on a master level, which is unfortunate I think because OP doesn't seem to have gotten there yet, and also very cool, because you have reached a level of mastery that is very admirable.
But it's not all criticism. I do think and agree with you that just mindlessly watching non-sexual TV is probably not the best approach. Though, you never know, it might let OP's mind wander enough that they start to relax enough to make the Aneros move on its own. Otherwise why would some find that Binaural Beats work for them?
I've had some occasional feeling when in chat, mindlessly reading websites or browsing porn. But maybe I was just lucky. It might work ok for OP. I thought some forum thread or the wiki suggested sleeping with Aneros, and how it could help? So there might be background rewiring that could occur perhaps?

As a slight tangent, how does one do this?
I was in chat last night and one of the members said to me that I need to imagine that some fantasy person was doing stuff to my prostate. I was very taken aback. Why do I need to do this? Why should it be mandatory? Why is it about faking things? It made me depressed and annoyed, I felt like no one had ever told me about this before. And it also made me annoyed at myself because I was seeing today that I am not open minded about the fantasty aspect (but maybe it's not needed?? so confus!). Tell you what though, this journey can get pretty frustrating at times. And now I wonder what you wrote above, is yet another example of hidden secrets that people dont talk about anymore, or how to do them? And just like what I wrote above, I just dont "get" the advanced concepts and feel like I am still a newbie given the advanced info you write about. I think to help myself, I should really re-read the wiki pages thoroughly, but beyond that, not sure what to do. There used to be masters on the chat that would talk about such deep subjects but they never seem to visit anymore. I remember canacan on the old chat talking about total relaxation which helped me with a paragdim shift.
@lonewolf8 Maybe I'm not the right person to answer you since I don't have too much experience with this myself. In my opinion/belief there is no real "requirement" to have a prostate orgasm. Anything that's arousing yet not too distracting is going to make it more likely to happen, but there isn't really anything that you really must do. The Aneros is a great tool because it adds a lot of stimulation directly to the prostate which is going to create a lot of arousal, yet at the same time it's not distracting because you don't need to focus on manually stimulating yourself with it, it kind of does that on its own. Fantasizing about someone doing stuff to your prostate could increase your arousal (if that turns you on) and hence increase the likelihood of having an orgasm, but it's not a requirement. The same is true for a lot of things such as semen retention etc. They're not secret techniques that you must do to orgasm, but they may (or may not) increase your arousal and therefore increase your chance of achieving results.
Hey guys! I'm with @throwawayacc on this. It seems we are getting carried away with the details....losing the forest for the trees! How we get from Pt A to Pt B is our own choice. It is well-know that most guys fantasize when they masturbate. If they fantasize while performing prostate stim, is that wrong? Of course not! I have had various Super-O's in the past. Do I need to continue to experience them now? I don't think so. And even if I don't, that doesn't mean that I still can't achieve a great deal of satisfaction from my Aneros sessions and more. With semen retention, male chastity, etc., I am ******* aroused more than ever!
All the "exotic" techniques as posed by @SOwithoutAneros are great and may work well for him. That does not necessarily translate to any of us. This Aneros "journey" is essentially a solitary one for many of us (myself included). We are the captains of our ships and we need to find our way the best we can! Enjoy the journey!
Can you get your aneros to work while watching regular tv and such?
Possibly, it kind of depends on your definition/meaning of "...to work...". Your Aneros massager is just a tool, but using this tool in different modalities will have different results. You may certainly derive health benefits from exercising with this tool during a passive activity such as watching television. Health benefits are what the Pro-State ® line of massagers were designed to accomplish so in this context, yes, it will work. It gets a bit more complicated if you are asking about it 'working' as a pleasure amplifier.
... do you have to have silence or sexual type visual stimulation?
Strictly speaking, No, but those may be beneficial environmental conditions when pursuing a pleasure path (see Identifying Facilitators to Progress).
... can anyone just put their toy in, put on family feud or whatever, and relax totally and let the toy go to work, or will non sexual stuff nullify the feeling of the toy because it's too distracting from sexual pleasure?
Despite the claims of ability to multi-task, studies have shown our brains can really only consciously process one task at a time (some people just are able to shift rapidly between tasks giving the appearance of multi-tasking). If your intent is to pursue pleasure then your conscious focus needs to be undiluted with extraneous or distracting thought processes. Watching TV may not nullify your feelings but it will certainly dilute them as your consciousness shifts it's focus back and forth from body to TV back to body, thus interrupting and dampening your perceptions of pleasure. IMHO, you may be able to maintain a certain level of arousal doing this but it may prevent you from entering the psychological state conducive to deeper levels of pleasure and orgasm, i.e. it is another form of 'mind noise' (see Identifying Obstacles to Progress).
It all boils down to you deciding what your goals are and then developing your own plan for achieving those goals. As has been so often repeated here, each man's journey is unique and the combination of techniques he employs to achieve his goals will be unique as well.
Good Vibes to You !
I asked myself the same question a few months ago... Normally I watch Fashion TV, midnight haute..; nice girls...Normally after 10 minutes the first Super O is there....without problem. One evening I watched for the 3 time "Titanic" ... 3 hours and NOTHING happened down there. So, better forget the Titanic if you want a result.
