Still no super O for me, but pleasure quite intense I wonder if I am actually experiencing an orgasm? My sessions involve some high peaks that seem to want to give me an orgasm, but haven't as of yet. I feel like I drift from one p-wave to the next with lots of movement of the aneros to put me into a very pleasant state like a high. Is this considered a "calm seas orgasm" I don't get the strong intense grip of an orgasm (i'm of course comparing it to a traditional orgasm) but I do seem to get everything else, and this can go on for an hour of two if I wish.
I looked in the wiki for a description of a calm seas orgasm but did not find one. Is a calm seas orgasm a plateau you reach after a few super O's or is that not the case?

I know I am getting hung up on terms here, but maybe if I feel I am having an orgasm, it will put my mind in the right frame to help me further my progress.

Hi thhn! 😀

If this feels like something you might describe as "floating bliss", then you probably are enjoying the great delights of the Calm Seas-Os, also known as "Above and Beyond" in their most intense manifestations. These are one of the most delightful and enduring joy-making forms of Super-O-ing one can experience IMHO. These are whole body, still body, ecstatic energies doing their very best for you, the more you experience this orgasmic form. Congratulations! If you are not quite there yet in your estimation, you are certainly within sight of this fabulous plateau.

Here is the definition from the Glossary section of the Wiki:
calm seas of orgasm A metaphor to describe where one is in a state of ongoing non-ejaculatory orgasms yet very relaxed at the same time, avoiding the usual muscular tension typically involved in high intensity arousal. Rather than vocalizing, thrusting, contracting or convulsing towards the orgasms, one gently keeps all muscles relaxed, letting the pleasure freely flow as if breathing it in and allowing the orgasms to come to you.

Take your own excellent advice in your last and ultimate sentence in your post!!

Dear thhn,

I think I know exactly where you are at!

Like you, I am sure I have not yet experienced a Super-O but I do now enjoy something very much like what you have described. I have chosen to call it a “Near Orgasm” since it feels that I am continuously on the threshold of an orgasm without actually spilling over into one. If you are familiar with the technique of “edging”, you will know what I mean. This experience is to Aneros activity what edging is to conventional penile masturbation.

From my understanding of the term Super-O, there is a sense of release after it has happened. This does not happen with our experiences, which is why we seem able to continue without a break for almost as long as we like.

It often takes almost an hour for this situation to develop, but once it has, I find that I can relax all muscles and the Near Orgasm commences as I consciously stop making any contractions. Instead, I feel a continuous involuntary contraction taking place deep within my pelvic region, accompanied by a feeling that an orgasm is about to begin. In fact it never does, but the feeling is nevertheless highly pleasurable.

Since this usually happens during the wee small hours of the night, the thing that stops the action is normally that I eventually dose off for a few minutes. If I then reawaken, the process can begin again with almost no effort on my part. Eventually the session is brought to a close either by the need to empty my bladder or by the feeling that I must get some serious sleep. If neither of those two things were to happen, I am sure I would be tempted to keep it going all night! I guess that what I have been describing is pretty much as Artform has defined ‘calm seas of orgasm’ above.

The question now to be posed is “How does one proceed from this state to that of experiencing a full anal orgasm or yet further, a Super-O"?

Pommie:
your comments do seem to hit the nail on the head. I have been experiencing this for some time and although I get those peaks that seem to want to develop into a strong orgasm, like yours, they get so close and then level off. I wish I knew of the one thing that will push it over the edge, but then, this is not such a bad place to be.
When the feelings seem to plateau off, this is often when I will change to a different model and that will almost always start off a new round of p-waves. I still get some of the most intense feelings when I put the aneros in about half way and hold it there with my hand, not allowing it to go any deeper. A slight twist of the aneros in either direction will very often bring about a great p-wave. I do this with all the models, even the peridise, but find it most effective with the progasm. that one will stay in place all by itself if you get it between the humps. I have written several times about this but have not read of others having success this way. Give it a try on your next session

I am happy to report that I am making great progress with the addition of KSMO. I have finally learned how to feel the energy and move it around my body into my prostrate. THis morning I was doing a 20 min practice session that got me so ramped up I had to go right into an unplanned aneros session that last for a couple hours. I haven't put that much time into KSMO and it seems to be coming easier to me than the aneros has been

Wonderful thhn!! 😀 😀

So great to see you really progressing so well now! Right you are too Buster! Pommie, thanks for your very clear descriptive language and sharing your experience and perspective so well! Sometimes, it is the particular language we choose to describe what we have felt that can limit or expand the possibilities of where we have arrived, without yet fully knowing the place.

Sometimes just re-framing our choice of interpretive words and feeling of the feelings can, in fact, liberate new opportunities and advances, expand greatly to full potential the type of feelings/signals from our body, or enable a greater gratitude that helps power sustainable expanding re-wiring.

You may not be that many steps away from where Helixer is facing his questions about this bliss/energy being able to be integrated into everyday life: http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/incorporating-bliss-into-daily-life-14402/

Thhn and all grinders,

This thread caught my eye a while back and just a couple of weeks ago I made the leap from “feels really nice” to “OMG I can’t believe how good this feels”. That one localized consistent pleasure spot suddenly erupted into a groin wide pleasure pool. Finally I went from near orgasm to a cycle of orgasmic peaks.

I’m a little hesitant to even post a success story, but I’ve been able to repeat the experience so it just might be real.

Read my 4/19 blog entry for details.

For us long term grinders who get hung up on plateaus for extended periods of time, nice little jumps are a big deal. I’ve got no magic bullet; my body just decided it was time. I figure my traditional pleasure circuit was just really tightly hard wired – it took a long time to reach overload. I must have been on the last plateau for 6 months or longer.

There seems to always be a next level.

Grind on.

J4

Hi J4, 🙂

Will you still visit us in the grinders corner after you achieve the super-O's??? LOL

I'm happy to see fellow Aneros grinders like yourself that I met shortly after joining the forum finally make such good progress. It's nice to see that after years practice some progress can be made. 😀
