Bicycles and the Aneros?

Has anyone noticed any good, bad, or neutral effects of bike riding and Aneros use?

I am well aware of the issues raised about bike riding and (possible) negative effects on blood flow, prostate, nerves, etc.

I have reseached tons and tons of info on the newer high tech seats that relieve pressure in that area, which can be VERY confusing and lots of hair splitting in microscopic differences! No clear winner there...

I gues it boils down to...

1. If you were a regular cyclist, did you notice any effects once you started using the Aneros?

Or...

2. If you were a regular Aneros user, did you notice any effects once you started cycling regularly?

And...

3. Has anyone found a good bicycle seat that has no, or minimal, negative effects on the pernieum area and it's internal components?

All the above assumes, that one's cycling is done wearing cycling type shorts or underwear that have an internal pad/chamois/gel AND the shorts (and shorts worn over the padded cycling underwear) are constructed so one is not sitting on any seams.

I have been told that many new (older) riders start out in lots of pain and think it their body, when it is really all those seams in one's shorts that converve in the crotch, over the pernieum.

I know that this is a VERY individual issue but anyone with any insights would be appreciated...

Virg,

Can be anything.....not just the bicycle!

Drove down to Pismo Beach from San Jose CA today and darn if I didn't have tingling in the groin area and "popping", "rumbling", and "buzzing" in the thigh and leg areas. (I will have to check the glossary for the recommended terms)

Aneros effect.

Trip,

I understand and agree. I have those nice tingling waves more and more. I come to believe that the re-wiring is much longer for some than others but it does take a long time, IF, you are not one of the lucky ones to hit the jackpot right out of the chute.

I was not expecting bike riding to increase or create the sensations we are all looking for, though, if that happened, that would be great. NIce piece of info if anyone confirmed it...

I was more concerned about any negative effects that onyone may have noticed...

This question is right up my ally. I am an avid XC mountain biker. I do not believe that my riding has had any negatives relating to the aneros. Actually, quite to the contrary I find that the better shape I am in the more incredible the aneros experience becomes. Physical activity seems to put me very in touch with the functions of my body. In the case of excersize you learn your limits, and you work to push beyond them. This is very similar in a sense to the aneros because I do find that that little piece of plastic produces incredible things when I am willing and ready to do the work.

Some things I have noticed:
1. Unless you are only riding a short distance wear proper shorts. They will have padding that will protect your bits. I ride 4 miles to work 5 days a week and really don't need the extra padding. If I am going to be out in the woods on my bike for 3+ hours I would not dream of going without. You can cut of blood flow to your junk, and although in the short term it probably wont do any damage I would not risk it on a regular basis.
2. The more active you are the better anything in your sex life will be. Being in better shape is just better all around. I would recommend vigorous excersize to everyone even without the aneros because it is healthy, and modern life is making people far to fat and lazy IMHO. The aneros when I am in the middle of an extremely active period is almost always better than when I am more inactive. It really is all about motivation and mindset.

My advice: Everyone get out there and get that heart pumping. It is good for you, and after you get in shape it will pay off in ways you never thought possible.

To be a little more specific...

1. Yes. More intense orgasms, as well as finding pleasure starting to build from different places. I am convinced now that I can have 4 distinct types of aneros spawned orgasm. One seems to center in my chest and bounce up and down to my head. Once is incredibly intense and centers in my prostate/anal area, one is the penile orgasm (I think I am very close to achieving this without ejaculation,) and one is something else that I have not been able to set in motion. I seem to fall just short of it, which gives me no small amount of frustration, but also gives me so much more pleasure to work on it. I am convinced that this has all arisen and been more easy to spot because of how in tune I am with my physical condition.

2. My cycling is seasonal as I live in Pa. It is very definitely too cold half the year. I do stay reasonably active in the cold months but nothing as intense as riding my bike. I can't say the aneros helped my riding, but I noticed nothing negative either.

3. I think this has less to do with your seat and more to do with its positioning. My seat was a bit painful at first until I found the right hieght and angle. Also as stated above always wear properly padded/designed shorts if you are going on an intense ride.

Virg,

Yes, I found a seat that works really well and is designed for men so there is not pressure on the perineum area. Unfortunately, I don't have the name but it has a B with a circle around it on it. Goto your bike shop and ask about it. It has a slot in the middle of it and is VERY comfortable, however, it does weigh more than a racing saddle. But it is worth it to me!
