Avoiding wet dreams

This morning I had a sexual dream where I went past the point of no return and then woke up. I tried to stop the ejaculation by holding a strong kegel and for a second I thought I did it because I felt absolutely no pleasure. Upon inspection I found out that, nope, I did ejaculate a little bit. So here I am having all my energy drained from the refractory period. The strange part is that I was only 6 day into semen retention.

So, does anyone have any good tips on how to avoid wet dreams?

@throwawayacc Not so sure you will be able to avoid them completely. I too am practicing SR along with caged chastity and really have stopped masturbating. I am close to experiencing a wet dream (if I haven't already). Your body needs to release semen periodically, usually through masturbation. If not, it will find another way (wet dreams). But aside from cleaning up the "mess", I don't know why you want to avoid them? They feel great! BTW, after a long period of SR (19 days) recently, I really didn't feel a refractory down period. My libido seemed to come back strong within 2 days and stayed there.

I understand not being able to avoid ejaculation completely, which is why I was planning on masturbate to ejaculation 1-2 times a month. I just didn't expect to have a wet dream after only 6 days had passed.

In my case there's absolutely nothing enjoyable about wet dreams, for multiple reason. First one being that dreams themselves are never enjoyable for me. I don't know why, but I always feel "dis-attached" from my dreams, like if I am just an observer instead of actually being in the dream. I was into lucid dreaming when I was younger, but for this reason I got bored of it very fast.

I always wake up right before climaxing. It always results in a ruined orgasm that barely feels like anything. Unlike you I also end up with the refractory period and thus making me feel bad for the rest of the day. And then there's the mess to clean up, of course!

If I have to ejaculate in one way or the other, I'd rather chose to do it manually every now and then so I can at least enjoy the orgasm. The only issue is that I don't want to end up having to do it too often, as it drains all my energy for some time.

@throwawayacc I understand your concerns. It seems we are each on a different path. Right now, I am trying to achieve an elusive wet dream. I guess you should achieve a balance of ejaculations but no wet dreams on your own schedule. I agree that ruined orgasms are not worth the time and trouble. Good luck!

@goldenboy One thing that could be worth trying for you would be some sort of self-suggestion. I used this technique when I was practicing lucid dreaming and I had a lot of success with it. When you are about to fall asleep, tell yourself something like "I will have a wet dream tonight" many times. You don't need to say it out loud, just in your head.

Many of us are striving for a wet dream - I successfully got on a wet dream pattern a few years back and enjoy them very much. Don't fret about it - as after only 6 days it may be a one-off. For most men it takes a lot more than 6 days to build up enough supply unless they have been edging or something similar which cranks up the production of seminal fluids. If you do get on a pattern of a wet dream every 6 days and you don't like them, I guess the only thing to do is release once every 5 days, either by masturbation, intercourse or prostate milking.

I also prescribe to the pre-sleep suggestion. It's an extension of my awake sessions where I open the session with a few minutes of meditation followed by a Mantra affirming a good session and how I intend for it to end (Dry-orgasm, Trad-O, Kundalini, etc.)

I have 1-2 wet dreams per month regardless of how often I have a traditional wet orgasm through masturbation or sex (sometimes will have one the same night I just had sex). The good news for me is that it actually recharges my libido and my sessions get better after these episodes. I think this is a result of being rewired though.
