I have been experimenting with prostate play for about 4.5 years now, starting in April 2018 with a finger and quickly moving to the back end of a toothbrush…this was the ‘proof of concept’ phase, haha! I bought my first Aneros a year later in April 2019. All the while, I have been keeping a diary of sorts (read: Excel spreadsheet, password protected, of course) of my prostate sessions and general sexual practices. I decided to do some analysis and here is what I came up with.
Since 4/5/18, I have had 385 prostate sessions, which equals one session every 4.3 days. Then, I looked at the breakdown of toys I am using and here is what I found:

- MGX - 123 (31.9%)
- Helix - 120 (31.2%)
- Manual probe - 62 (16.1%)
- Eupho - 31 (8.1%)
- Progasm - 27 (7.0%)
- Helix Syn V - 15 (3.9%)
- Calexotics Eclipse (vibrating) - 11 (2.9%)
- Peridise - 3 (0.8%)
It was interesting to see the numbers on what I have perceived. Clearly, I have been using the MGX and Helix as my ‘go-to’ workhorse toys…I was surprised how close it is to half and half between the two. I don’t use a manual probe much anymore, so that was simply in my pre-Aneros days. For some reason, I think I have viewed the Eupho and Progasm as ‘one-off’ toys that I go to every once in a while, but not consistently…this could change as I get more sensations further in my journey. The vibrations from the Helix Syn V and Calexotics Eclipse have not worked for me yet, so I have been trying to increase pleasure with non-vibe toys. Finally, the Peridise might be something fun down the road, but with all the other options in my toy box, it doesn’t get used much yet.
I thought it would be interesting to put this out there…please feel free to comment on anything that intrigues you or to share out any statistical data that you have. I would be fascinated to see how others distribute their toy selection!

That is some great info! Wish I had documented my journey in a similar fashion. Interesting to see how different your response to devices is. Eupho is the one for me and I struggle with Helix and MXG.

Great information! I too wish I would've recorded such details of my journey. Way back, I had started to keep track in the blog section but I gave up as the site was unstable and, to be honest, my lack of discipline.
What makes you decide what massager you'll use going into a session? For me, my prostate whispers it's desired tool and that usually happens a day or so in advance of my planned event.

Your prostate talks to you too?! I usually have several devices on hand during every session and they each get used at the request of my hole and prostate.

So, my disclaimer is that I haven’t reached the point in my journey where I have felt orgasmic pleasure, so maybe choosing the Helix and MGX hasn’t been the correct decision, haha! Maybe I have fallen into the Goldilocks syndrome where I choose the Progasm on the lesser occasions when I’m craving something bigger and choose the Eupho on the lesser occasions when I’m wanting something more mobile. It feels like the Helix and MGX are just a good, average size for most occasions. That said, I have had some really good breakthrough sessions with the Progasm the last two days…I’ll be interested to see which model gives me my first prostrate orgasm.

I can’t tell yet if my prostate is talking to me, but I definitely get this vision in my head or a certain bodily craving for a certain model. And yes, I usually start thinking about it in advance of a session. It’s just an internal feeling of wanting a certain model…it’s hard to describe where it comes from.
I have to say that I am absolutely in love with the shape of the MGX! It has some decent bulk to the head, but has a sleeker shape than the Helix. The arms are a little more pronounced and aggressive, and the ridges are just kinda sexy! In terms of performance, I wouldn’t say that it gives more pleasure (yet) than the other models. At this point in my journey, I would say that all of my models perform (or don’t perform) similarly to each other. That’s why I am holding off on choosing a ‘favorite’ model, but visually, the MGX turns me on the most!

Yes, it does. It's like I have a feeling long in advance about which toy will give me the best results in my planned session. Sometimes I feel the need for girth so my Progasm Ice or one of my Maximus (Classic or Trident) comes out for action. Sometimes, I crave an aggressive approach so one of my 2 MGX are front and center. Finally, if I feel like a mellow session, my Helix Syn or Eupho Syn are ready for action.
My sessions are limited to approximately 1.5 hour so I don't want to waste a single minute to change from one gizmo to another let alone more a third one. Each model selected gets a full session to perform. Since I know by now not to engage if my mind is not up to it or if I'm too tired, I very seldom get a dud session.

I would have a very hard time selecting one of my Aneros model as a favorite; the one selected for my session usually becomes my favorite oof the moment. They are all my 'favorite-du-jour' LOL!

I have never had a favorite, but I do get a sense when I choose the wrong one. Choosing gets harder and harder as my aless ha slowly taken over my sessions. Seems as soon as I insert one now, the pleasure narrows to finite area. Where my aless is far more encompassing, and easier to mentally expand pleasure wher ever I'm feeling it. If that makes sense.

@reddog152 n Since my first reaction to the aneros,some 2 years ago(whew where did the time go) and aless came to me. I have had to gaurd my thoughts as with a fleeting thought of a session, my aless kicks in. and my taint starts to throbb. And there it goes.lol
