Yes, the touch screen on the posting window does not respond, the lock dot appears immediately. The new post box and red text buttons below it are unresponsive. I have to use Chrome to post this and other posts. My other non Aneros Forums work okay with Safari
iPad 2 works with Safari
iPad Air 2 (ios 8x) does not work with Safari but works with Chrome

I have not seen much presence of the Aneros Company reps on the Forum for quite a few months. So they may not respond.

Sometimes I get this problem while entering text into the "WRITE COMMENT" field (as I'm doing now). A little "ghost" of a dialog box appears (little gray square) on the screen while typing. It has a tiny red X in the corner. If I click the X, the box vanishes and I get control back. I bet it's JavaScript-related.

Wow it worked I clicked the red cross and got control again and have posted this. I think it is a safari problem as chrome works okay. Good to be back on the air again. Thanks for the tip off. Not 100% as I can't copy from your post above.

I ran into this when I started to chat and tried to do so with my IPAD, using iOS8. I have stopped using it for chatting--at first I thought I was doing something wrong. I sent a message to Aneros about 6 weeks ago, and haven't gotten a response (it was the holiday season, though). Perhaps more of us should send them a note about this problem.

I thought there were supposed to be at least two of the Aneros Company staff whose responsibility it was to monitor the website, (including presumably), the Chatroom and this Forum. One of them was called "Aneros2" as I recall.

Whatever happened to them?

I have the same "RED X" problem. Very wonky.

It is very difficult to use an iPad. Many of the hotspots like "Chat" have only a few live pixels available to click on.

If I use a stylus on the ipad rather than my finger it seems to be more precise

I get the same thing on IE; there's no rhyme nor reason nor unit of time to when it shows up. Sometimes it's there almost instantly after I open a thread, sometimes after 10-20min.

Click on the red "X" and everything's good.

Does anybody else have a problem editing their posts? I've tried to edit using the "Edit" tab, but when I save it, all my editing is gone and the original post is there. What am I doing wrong?

@Badger - Try installing and using a different web browser. Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Opera would be much better alternatives to Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

I think this problem is independent of the browser itself. To the site programmer: my console gives this message when that problem occurs:

SCRIPT7002: XMLHttpRequest: Network Error 0x2ef3, Could not complete the operation due to error 00002ef3.

This has to do with JavaScript.

Well I tried using search for the first time in a year. That does not work correctly at all!I tried to search for the name of a discussion The audio challenge. It could not find it.
I have it book marked so I could find it any how but I can only see the last page. The buttons to go back a page do nothing?
Also I can not attach a file ever any more it comes up with a internal error. Have tried .jpg and .bmp small and large files. It makes no difference.
I am using google Chrome as I have been for years, whats the deal? @Aneros2 @CT

@braveneworld - The search function in this forum has been broken or just performs terribly for many, many years. I've mentioned it to CT before, yet there has never been any change. The way I find old threads is to use an outside search engine and have it search this domain.

Roger that @Love_is It seems that they dont care much for the forum anymore.We dont seem to hear from the one that is meant to be watching the forum even "aneros2"
But then the whole show could be run from someones basement no days anyways.

For some reason, I can't seem to copy a quote from someone's post, and I cannot edit a post once I submit it, no matter what I try.

Any ideas?

I also find that if a thread has moved on to a second or third page, it is impossible to retrace to a previous page.I assumed this was because I am an Apple Mac user and the system used by the Forum was written assuming Windows.
I really don't understand why @Aneros2 or @CT seem not to be responding any more.
Maybe administrative costs are too great.

There are some bright spots though and support seems to, 'be home.'

I had given up on the touchscreen 'skins' last fall. Two nights ago I was messing around in bed and wanted some 'Chat-hype.' Only thing nearby was a small Android (4.1.1) tablet running Jelly Bean that I use for little more than news and financial feeds. Using Chrome, every Chat function (except History) worked. online lists, private windows, Aneros and Info Room swaps, as well as color and size changes in fonts. The sound decoding in that machine is only monophonic so I was unable to test @nerve 's latest beats.

Little of this worked three months ago. Well done Support !
