Got Peridise 2 pc set. Great! Love the new experience. What is difference between dry orgasms, anal orgasms and prostate orgasms? I guess, to answer my own question, both anal and prostate orgasms are dry orgasms (usually) but then what's the difference between anal and prostate orgasms? I mean in experience and "feelings". I kind of know, as the experience with the newly used Peridise is different from other aneros massagers (or aless) but I'm not really scientific and would like to know explicitly, what IS the difference--what do the two types of massagers DO to the body?
There will be people here that can tell you there is a difference but after 11 years I've not been able to differentiate. I personally don't think there is much of a difference at all.
@bill Bately; very good question. I also wanna know. I can’t feel them separately.
Think that prostate and anal orgasm follows simultaneous.
I think if you at the stage of having regular super O's that sooner or later you will experience a prostate orgasm by its self and the same goes for anal orgasms. Earlier in my journey I used to experience a super O that I called the whole damn marching band which was an anal and prostate orgasm at the same time. I have experienced both anal and prostate orgasms on their own but to this day I have never been able consciously separate and choose to have one or the other. I would love to hear if anyone can hit anal super O's at will.
I no longer think about anal vs. prostate orgasms...there is so much variety in how I experience orgasm with Aneros it’s futile to try and label them all. All I know that they all feel great
I'll say it is sometimes difficult to differentiate between a prostate and anal centered orgasm. Sometimes it simply feels damn good and you don't care to think about where it is centered. Sometimes I will feel it being either prostate or anus centered; so you do notice the orgasm centered in different regions, but not always.be
This is an interesting topic and it would be interesting to hear what some of the more advanced users think of the differences between prostate, anal, and any other area orgasms and differentiating between them.
The Orgasms I feel are all different, some last longer, some are stronger so I have found that I enjoy the surprise not knowing what I shall receive
I must confess I have had some great anal orgasms but they are always a surprise.
Hey @Bill Bately ,
What is difference between dry orgasms, anal orgasms and prostate orgasms? I guess, to answer my own question, both anal and prostate orgasms are dry orgasms (usually)...
These classifications operate on different dimensions. Dry-O's just address one (binary) property of any orgasm which is if it's dry or not... hence the name.
...but then what's the difference between anal and prostate orgasms? I mean in experience and "feelings". I kind of know, as the experience with the newly used Peridise is different from other aneros massagers (or aless) but I'm not really scientific and would like to know explicitly, what IS the difference
An orgasm is an orgasm is an orgasm. It's a neuronal reflex of escalating nerval excitement. The terminology x-orgasm is a bit misleading. What is x? The place where one build arousal? The epicenter from which the orgasm spread? Both? From my experience it's mostly both, but not always. Full-body-orgasms are named this way, because you feel them full-body. But most of the time, there is a certain spot where the arousal is built and which drives the orgasm - like a flywheel. For the vast majority of aneros-users this spot will be the prostate. But with a Peridise (which hardly reaches the prostate), it's the anal sphincter. But it can also be your belly (ksmo) or your brain (amygdala-clicking).
--what do the two types of massagers DO to the body?
Considering the last point: they do stimulate different nerval hotspots to act as a flywheel which in turn builds up arousal and drives the orgasm eventually.
If you like to ponder more about the nature of orgasms, I recommend my entry (highly speculative) in the My First Super-O Thread. @rumel often recommends the thread What's an Orgasm? when these sorts questions arise.
Cheers, Unfug
Yah, since the prostate is being stimulated by a toy in your rectum, and its working on your anus too, when your prostate orgasms the toy is forced to stimulate your entire rectum and anus, which it was already in contact with in the first place. So when you prostate "cums" your canal is "cumming" too.
But your anus is actually just the group of muscles, nerves, and other fun little things (like the anal crypt...look it up...omg what) between the air outside and your rectum. So to have a true "anal" orgasm, you'd have to only be stimulating the anus, right? So what toy makes that happen? Is an anal orgasm an orgasm that a toy induces that also does NOT contact your prostate? Full insertion of any Aneros toy is 99/100 times going to contact your prostate.
The Peridise is supposed to provoke "anal orgasms." But it does contact my prostate. I don't recall ever having Os from them alone (which makes me now want to have sessions with them...). The prostate stimulation is a bit indirect: when my anus triggers an involuntary contraction everything kind of "squeezes" together down there and I can feel the head of the Peridise contact my prostate. But on its own the Peridise doesn't seem to create an "anal-only" orgasm.
I'm with almost everyone here so far: an orgasm is an orgasm is an orgasm. But the prostate and anus are entirely two different things in our body. Can we find orgasmic qualities that differ strongly enough between the two to say "anal" vs. "prostate"? I don't know! But it'll be fun working on it that's all I know 😉
EDIT: I just realized that when men are rimmed by their partner, they can have an orgasm from this. I've had things that are almost an O from my wife tonguing me gently down there, like mild dry Os. Maybe there are truly unique anal orgasms???
Cheers @Unfug . Thanks for your lengthy answer, very helpful. I need to check into that more at my leisure. Good vibes to you!
