Hello all. I bought helix, and have used it four times. I"m not having any great changes with the exception of sleeping longer without having to get up and urinate. I bought this mostly for prostate health and then got excited when I saw this could improve my sex life. My wife is very supportive and ok with my using it, etc. I'm not really having a great time with the helix, but if half of what y'all have said is true, I'd love to get some of my youth back (I"m 49).
My questions are: Am I supposed to ejaculate after each session? Is there a forum with more husband wife and prostate health topics? I don't mind doing this by myself, but any type of sex is with my wife, that would include masturbation, hence my confusion about orgasms and prostate milking by myself.
Many thanks,
Doc

Welcome to the Forum,
YES, you are in the right place to ask your questions. That is good news you are already seeing an improvement in your urinary functioning. Learning to use and enjoy your new Helix will probably take some time, for some of us this is a very gradual process with momentary advances and occasional setbacks. Changes are most often in small increments as our knowledge and experience grows.
It is wonderful your wife is supportive of this new expanding sensual experience the two of you can share. I don’t think the Aneros is a fountain of youth in terms of restoring a man’s youthful vigor but it may be a fountain of inspiration to explore and enjoy totally new pathways of sexual/sensual delights. This is very much like the excitement of a young mans first forays into sexual practices.
Now getting to your questions :
“Am I supposed to ejaculate after each session?” There are no formal rules for Aneros use. Some men choose to finish there sessions with ejaculation, some don’t, some do it occasionally.
IMHO, if you want to get to the Super-O, I think any link between the Aneros and ejaculation needs to be reduced to a minimum to let the resulting sexual tension increase arousal levels for subsequent sessions.
“Is there a forum with more husband wife and prostate health topics?” Not at this site, there is the Aneros sister site - http://www.highislandhealth.com which is more oriented to the health aspects of prostate massage. On this site, the main focus is the pleasure aspects of prostate massage. I would encourage you and your wife to read the Sticky thread “a wife’s perspective” , see - http://aneros.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=440 , the part of the WIKI titled “Women Too” , see - http://wiki.malegspot.com/index.php?title=Women_Too and from the Aneros HOME page “Great for Couples” , see - http://www.aneros.com/benefits_couples.php .
You will want to spend some alone times with your massager to learn to read the subtle sensations it induces within your body, you can also invite your wife to help in the learning process by having her provide non-penile forms of stimulation during your practice sessions. There is much to learn about yourself and what your body is capable of achieving but the effort is well worth the time. Enjoy the Ride!
