First time user of an Aneros product tonight and quite sure how I rate it. I took a hot shower five minutes beforehand, laid on the bed, turned on my favorite porn movie, using this lubricant called Anal Glide lubed my anus then the SGX, afterward insertion. I waited about ten minutes like the directions said, however even after that time, I noticed nothing "earthshattering" like in some of the videos I've seen. After about twenty minutes I became erect and could feel the slight pulsate as I masturbated to orgasm (which I thought was not needed with this device). Any help/hints here would br greatly appreciated.

I see two things you did wrong:

1. Expected too much
2. Masturbated to orgasm

Besides that you seemed to do everything perfectly. Spend some time reading the posts that Rumel suggested and keep going. It this was that easy, they would teach it in schools.

Good luck to you and keep us posted on your progress!

well, tried again today and basically same result. I did read up on some of the suggested points that were advised to me and tried using them accordingly. I did try anal glide and KY together, that made insertion easier. I laid on my side for about 15 minutes and still could not feel any real "sensations" with the aneros, just the feeling of something inserted in my behind. Controlled my breathing as suggested, however, I still don't think I experienced what I was supposed to. Have I not allowed enough time each session to "relax and enjoy"?

For a guy whose 5'6, 285 (yes, grossly overweight : ) , I guess my second question is did I buy the correct Aneros product for my body type (having purchased the SGX model)?

Thanks again.

Hello gm134lex, 🙂

One important point I remembered early on in my Aneros journey, is that pleasurable sensations of any sort did not occur for me until I was able to learn to sufficiently relax my anal muscles such that it no longer felt like anything was inserted in my behind. This is a very important newbie progress step to learn that comes with practice.

Also, you might want to check the ingredients of your lubes. The only reference I can find to "Anal Glide" lube is one that has a desensitizer in it, which is not a good idea and will hinder your Aneros sessions if that is indeed what you are using.

i find it rather difficult to answer this question, "am i doing something wrong?" because aside from the basic instructions, there really is no right or wrong way to use the aneros. but i do know exactly how you feel, believe me, we've all been there man, asking the exact same question. in the midst of a million threads, a million techniques, a million ways to achieve a super O... it all boils down to what works for you. it really wasn't until i turned my attention away from what everyone else was experiencing and began to focus on my own experiences, that i began to see results. A aneros session is a very personal, intimate practice. A time of sexual self discovery. It's a journey... and your journey alone. Every new sensation, every pulsation, contraction, etc., is something to be celebrated... even exaggerated. Don't try too hard, but never stop trying. Get to know your own body from the inside out instead of the outside in... focus on the journey rather than the result your hoping to achieve. For some, the results are immediate. While others, such as myself, the results were not immediate and took a good bit of patience. The key for me was to just relax and enjoy the ride! My advice is to Milk every session for all it's worth... focus on how good it feels... get comfortable with yourself... lose your inhibitions... moan, groan, even talk dirty to yourself. The journey alone should be your first priority. Once you learn to let go of all your super O expectations is when it will happen. Not saying that it will be this way for you but It took me the better part of a year to have a super O. but i would not take back or change a thing... not even for a very large sum of money. The journey in and of itself was the payoff... the super O is the icing on the cake!

Thanks for the 411 on the AG. What is suggested that I be using instead?

gm;

Right, ditch the Anal Glide. Plain old olive oil works perfectly for sessions less than 90 minutes. Astroglide Natural will go for hours. If you don't fear chemicals, try Vaseline or Astroglide X Silicone. They will work all night.

Best of luck to you,

Dave

Well said Vanakin41! I know that it has been said many times before, but it is great to be reminded of it.

yeah, just keep it simple... nothing can ruin a good session like a premeditated action or some gnawing complication 😉 Also, you may have already discovered that the whole, "laying on your side" position, isn't necessarily for everyone. Though I do agree, a great one for beginners... but personally, i've had my most intense sessions while laying on my back, legs spread out... a little nip stimuli and i'm ready to go! I would say, if you haven't already tried, change up and position until you find one that you really like. best of luck to you man! this forum m/'s btw!
