Been using aneros for 10 to 12 years now.  Never experienced a Super O.  I've posted on the forums before but lost my account information so created a new account.

Ok so after years of not a lot of success I made some changes.  #1.  Resisting the urge to ejaculate after a session (I know it's like the number 1 rule but I had a difficult time following it) #2.  I got the Aneros Trident syn.  I have to say that over the years I've used everything from sgx to the progasm and the Trident has been the most effective.

Ok so by following those two changes I've had the biggest jumps in my experience than ever before but am not sure if it's "real" progress.

Here is my dilemma.  I'd describe my recent sessions as intense.  Last night for example I had involuntary muscular contractions that had my chin going to my chest, and my groin thrusting up.  I tried to relax and my muscles contracted on their own this way.  I'd also describe things as enjoyable to the point of feeling like I'm about to cum.

My problem is because I'm doing something erotic, and I'm aroused combined with withholding ejaculation, I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is bringing me closer to the super O, OR I'm just experiencing a type of hyper arousal.

I haven't experienced any form of buzzing, or pleasure waves, and that is the problem.  I will often finish a session, and then wake up a couple hours later desperate for the aneros.  It's both exciting, and frustrating (I need to get some sleep ya know 🙂 ).  This has sometimes forced me to have a traditional ejaculation just to cool off so I can sleep.  Again I don't know if this is because my journey is bringing me closer to the super O, or if I'm just going through hyper arousal.

Input would be nice.  Is this something you have experienced before the Super O?  Like I said, no buzzing, or pleasure waves which is my concern as to if my progress is real, or just a type of hyper arousal, and I'm really not any closer than I was before.

I had the same issues (10 years of NO feelings at all) until i went back and re read the wiki, the part about holding contractions for a period of time and releasing, subtle movements, using one device only and kept at it for weeks, took a long time but eventually got feelings going.

Rumel will come in soon and bombard you with information but im telling you start with the above, keep it simple and dont have any expectations, just treat it as excercise for your prostate health, not to be sexual, initially. That comes later.

I agree that's about as simple as one can make it.

@JJA3 I'll PM you with some other thoughts on this.

How long do you hold the contraction for?  thanks

The best sessions I've had involved (I think) a termination of the "observing ego", and entering a state of pure sensation... to tune-out my own mind completely and surrender to something potentially terrifying, in exchange for something wonderful. Sometimes my readiness to do that, and the reward dangling in front of me is enough to give in... but most often the stars don't align that way.

The trouble with expectation and "need", is that it leads your mind into a constant state of evaluation and measurement. After all, how do you know if you're "doing well" unless you're constantly rating your own experience in real time? And you can't rate it if you don't watch it. And if you're still watching it, you're not giving enough of yourself to it. I don't think we can really comprehend a body's own horniness without the mind guiding the experience.

People have been saying this kind of thing on the forum for years... but it's really hard to conceptualize it and understand until you've already been to those places.

I think there's an experience/explanation barrier involved. A regular part of my journey is experiencing something new by chance, and then going back over old material with a new sense of recognition.

So true.  And also incredibly frustrating sometimes!

@JJA3, did you mean the Helix Syn Trident?  Just checking, now that there are three syn trident models.  My contribution would be that if you bought a newly-released model like the HST and it shook things up for you, that's great!  If you don't know a good length for holding contractions I'd suggest getting the Hypnaerosession download.  That and the Helix Syn Trident have been the greatest help in making progress after my initial ~9 moths of no results.  Also take what I say with a grain of salt because I have a tendency to want to buy something new every few months and I don't know if what I say helps anyone other than myself.

@faith-manages Yes I own the Helix syn Trident.  Best Aneros created so far in my opinion, although I'm curious about the Eupho syn trident.

@jja3 I recently got the Eupho ST, haven't had much success as far as breaking new ground but like I said I have a bad tendency to just keep buying new toys instead of trying to make progress with what I already own.  Or as photographers call it: GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome).  The Eupho does give a different sensation, if I had to describe it with words I'd say it's "sharper" than the Helix, and has the potential for increased movement which I'm not experienced enough to take advantage of.  I'm sure the Eupho will come into its own in the fullness of time.

Regarding your questions with contractions whatever feels good!  Again if you don't have it yet the Hypnaerosession is well worth the money and has guided instructions regarding things like breathing and yes, contractions.  Well worth the money and definitely will set you back far less than the Eupho will!  https://community.aneros.com/product/hypnaerosession/

@faith-manages Well when it comes to contractions, I rarely do them.  My body moves the aneros without me needing to think about it.  My main issue is that the aneros is moving along great without my needing to think about it, and then right at the peak of experience where I feel like I'm just about to explode in orgasm, it all stops..... lol  So I was thinking about trying slow contractions, and holding them on my own (it usually moves quickly when I'm not thinking about it)

Don't think I can help you there, I get the plateau phases where I can only go so far for weeks or months, then one day everything aligns and I make another inch of progress.  It's the waiting in the plateau that's the hard place.
