Hi, I'm new to this forum and new to this whole topic. After reading all of the great testimonials, the possibilities of what can be experienced by using a prostate massager are certainly enticing.

Before I take the plunge I have a couple of questions.

1) I have experienced bouts of hemospermia (blood in my semen). For those that have never experienced it, seeing red semen can be quite scary the first time it happens. According to my primary care physician and my urologist, hemospermia appears to be a relatively common thing many men experience so I was kind of surprised that when I keyword-searched this forum I didn't find any matches, especially given the nature of the topics discussed here. On rare occasions hemospermia can indicate a serious condition but more often it is a benign condition that eventually goes away. I had all of the tests done to rule out anything serious: digit-exam, PSA test, urine test to rule out a UTI and even a cystoscopy (easily the worst test known to man). Since they all came back negative, "it's just one of those things" was the diagnosis. Sure enough in a couple of months it went away on its own. It has come back a couple of other times for a couple of months and then goes away as mysteriously as it appeared. I'm curious to known from other men who have experienced hemospermia whether using a prostate massager helped, hurt or didn't seem to make a difference.

2) I don't have a lot of anal experience; an occasional finger or two, an anal dildo and a few times a banana. None of this I do very often, but enough to know I'm not going to freak out using a massager. But I have noticed that even with my limited experience, I have a harder time controlling when I want to release gas. 😳 I'm not sure if it is because of my anal play or because I'm 42 and I'm naturally not as "tight" as I was when I was 18. When I read in the forum that people leave the device in overnight, I was surprised. What I do like about the massager is the small diameter at the sphincter. I don't like my anal dildo because it has big ridges that hurt the muscle going in and out. But even with the small diameter of the Aneros, I can see the possibility that leaving it in for 30, 60, 90 minutes or even overnight could, over time, permanently relax the sphincter causing it not to close as tightly. On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if the replies I get indicate that the kagels used to manipulate the massager have a tendency to improve sphincter health and tightness. I imagine this is a common worry from men (and women) new to anal play so forgive me if I missed the answer in the FAQs.

Thanks
Dave

Welcome aboard! You are in for an interesting experience. Though keep in mind that this isn't an instant experience for everyone, some have to practice a little while before getting definite results, but they will happen if you are patient. There is also a lot of great information located on this forum, be sure to read some of the stickies when you have a chance.

Bingo, you called it. While the Aneros models can stretch a person a little (especially the Progasm), you tone and build the muscles back there, so that there really isn't a problem with anything leaking out (gasious or solid). However, that is just my experience, but I think it is pretty much the same for everyone else.

When I read in the forum that people leave the device in overnight, I was surprised.

To be honest, that probably isn't the best idea in the world anyway, as overuse can be counter-productive. I generally only go for about 1-2 hours every few days myself.

I originally bought the MGX about 2 years ago and bought a Helix about a year ago. I usually use the Helix. You mentioned some concerns about the ridges near the handle end of the MGX making for a sore anus. I can personally confirm that this has been an issue for me. Others may not have the issue. There are no ridges on the Helix, so there is no issue with soreness in that area unless I do alot of walking around. If I'm laying flat on my back on the floor with feet on the edge of the bed (like sitting in a rocket ready for takeoff), I can lay there for a couple hours and have no soreness at all. That is my favorite position and have had some really good results, but no Super-O. Last night seemed very close though....

Good luck to you.

Hi and welcome,

I felt like I needed to jump in here and give some advice. I have the helix and love it. In the past I have experienced numerous problems with my prostate. I have had my helix about 5-6 months or so and don't claim to be an expert but here goes. I can say that the last two sessions I have had have been awesome and my prostate is singing.

I used to have enlarged prostate, blood in the semen, and all kinds of pain. BUT NOT NOW! When there is blood in the semen the body is telling you that there is a problem. My urologists just constantly give me anitbiotics and medicine. After a while the problems would come back. I started praying and asking the good LORD for direction. In short, this what I done.

1. I started going to a naturopathic doctor, I am a living testimony that herbs and this treatment helps. I was given herbs that specifically treated the prostate and makes it healthier. It is definitely healthier now. I changed my diet to include fiber and the things that the body loves. I can tell you that I beleive that is why so many men have prostate issues is because it is not getting enough nutrition.

2. I use my helix about 2-3 times a week and this has helped tremendously! It has caused my orgasms to be intense with LMing sessions with my wife. I have learned what the super O is and it is absolutely amazing. It is totally different from a penile oragasm and it lasts so much longer. I ususally try to limit my sessions to 2-3 hours if possible. Sometimes if I get too aggressive with the helix, it can cause some soreness. I have found that the secret is to just RELAX! I would not recommend leaving it in overnight. Some here have said that it desensitizes that area. Makes sense to me! One thing is that it has definitely helped. I don't believe that it will hurt. I have found through reading and research that many years ago men would recieve prostate massages form their regular doctor, I had a doctor years ago told me that he has men that have to come periodically to get a massage to relieve pressure. Doctor's today have gotten away from that and now just issue you medicine, which I think is harmful to the body! I believe using a aneros that works for you would definitely help you situation. Like I said: DISCLAIMER: I am not a doctor or expert, just know what has worked for me. Hope this helps. If you have questions let me know!

Some advice:
