Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know about a product I found on the website www.adameve.com. It is an anal lube that is water based AND glycerin free. It is 4oz. and $9.95 + s&h. I don't know if this is a deal or not. I just thought it might be a good option; to be able to have the easy cleanability of a water-based product, but without the glycerin.
Has anyone tried this? I thought I'd ask around b4 I bought some for my hubby.

Climax Bursts Anal Lube
(on the lower left-hand side of website, click on Sexy Extras, then anal sex lubes)
water-based, glycerin free
4 oz.
$9.95 + s&h
P.S. - I just saw a commercial for the adam & eve website - and if you enter the code "URGE" at the checkout - you can save 50% off on any one item!
p.s.s. - Not to get into too much info, but I bought the Pink Lips Pussy Stroker for my hubby b4; he's very happy with it. 😀 It was $29.95 and had the best reviews out of all the other masturbators available.
Hi musicman's wife,
I haven't tried this lube before but thanks for the tip. I typically buy my lubes from Cheaplubes.com. They typically have better prices than AdamEve and much faster shipping. They also sell sex toys as well. My anal lube of choice is Maximus which is also glycerine free. I'll also use Albolene or Boy Butter if I'm not in the mood to mess with the lube syringe and want to apply more of a cream-based lubricant. The latter two are also excellent for masturbation since they are oil based.
If you haven't already, check out the Fleshlight website at Fleshlight.com. You can't go wrong with buying one (or more!) of those although I would recommend that you get a textured insert rather than a smooth one. They have a forum there as well with a great bunch of guys and a few gals as well! The Fleshlight is also sold on the Aneros website but I'm not sure what textures and orifices they offer. If you plan on buying another Aneros, you may be able to get a better deal by buying both from this website.
Hope this helps,
Onthepath
Onthepath, your welcome! I just keep an eye out for stuff like that now. Thanks so much for the email address! I have heard others on here mention Maximus and Boy Butter. I'll have to look into it. I forgot to mention that the Climax lube was stated as being a thick lube. Maybe that is good, maybe not?????
Thanks also for the Fleshlight website. I've heard the Fleshlight forum mentioned on here, but because it is sold on here I thought that the forum was on here somehow or had a link from here that I just never found. Thanks again for the info! I still plan on checking into the book you mentioned. I will probably have to order it or buy it though. I can't see me going to my local library and asking for help finding a book on anal pleasures! lol MAN! Wouldn't that be a hell of a dare! lol I'd chicken out and go for truth! (y'know truth or dare...)
Just an F.Y.I., if you go on www.bn.com (barnes & noble's website) - and you go to the used and out of print books section, you can usually get a book for a real good deal! I've bought at least 4 from there and had good luck each time. (The most recent book being Zanes - The Orgasmic Diet.)
It does help, thanks a lot --- C
Always something new!
Much like the Orbitz soft drink that was around in the 90's that had multi-colored beads suspended in the solution, Climax Burst claims to feature bursting beads of Vitamin-E. (The suspended material here is much smaller though, looking like tiny air bubbles).
The ingredients are as follows: Water, Glyceryl, Polymethacrylate, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Propylene Glycol, Mannitol, Cellulose, Mica, Acrylate/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Triethyl Citrate, Hydroxypropyl, Methylcellulose, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Methylparaben, Benzoic Acid.
Quite some soup! The active ingredient (for lubricity) is propylene glycol. The particles seem like a gimmick to me, but who knows. One ingredient of particular interest is Chlorophensin. Chlophenesin is a muscle relaxant, one that is not commercially available in the United States. Why it's present in this preparation I can only guess at. I would presume that it is used like Benzocaine in Anal Eze or the various desensitizing preps for premature ejaculation, for numbing the area to facilitate penetration.
Since I don't like numbing myself down there, chemically or otherwise I'd have to say that this is one that I'd stay clear of. If you want to go glycerin-free there are quite a few products that are available now. Maximus, Sliquid, and the Aneros Brand Marksman to name a few.
Check out the Wiki for more information on lubrication.

Hey Mayfield,
In this Climax Burst Lube you mentioned the ingredient clorphenesin...
I agree I wouldn't want to be numb either but is it actually numbing the tissue
or relaxing it?
Isn't that two different things?
If it's purely a relaxant that might be kool to try ehh?
Tiphereth,
I struggled over whether to include that term when I posted earlier today (I've since edited it). The thing is that the archive that I was looking at used the term relaxant, but then went on to describe a mechanism of action that was consistent with an anesthetic. Indeed other sources referred to it as an anesthetic. The first source was European, so it may be a matter of semantics really.

Mayfield, I would bet that you are right.
If I may ask, what is your preference reguarding Lubricant?
What brands do you prefer if any.
B Mayfield - thanks again for your information and knowledge. When you wrote down the ingredients, the ones listed Glyceryl and Propylene Glycol sound too close to me as to being a Glycerine product (they all have the beginning Glyc.) Would that be a fair assumption. Did they have the ingredients list on adam and eve and I just overlooked it? Had I seen the Glyceryl - I don't know that I would have mentioned it on here. Sorry 'bout that. As for the Chlorphenesin - no... I wouldn't think that you would want to numb any sensations "down there" so, this very well might not be a good match for anyone with regards to using that with their Aneros. Oh well, it was worth a look see.
I have looked at the WIKI, thanks 😀 There is a ton of information there! It was just that I was on the adam and eve website the other night and happened to peek at the lubes to see what they had and the Climax burst stuff was there so I thought to mention it here. Thanks much for your input. I guess ever since I read and learned on here that the walls of the rectum/anus can absorb stuff, including the Glycerin... (I had never known that and was disconcerted by it) I just want to be careful with not only my husband, but heck, with myself as well! It is one thing to have fun but you don't want to hurt yourself in the process, ya know.
Thanks again for your input!

MMwife,
Glyceryl polymethacrylate is not glycerin, but is synthesized from it. It is found in a wide range of cosmetics including; facial moisturizers, around the eye cream, shampoo, anti-aging products and hair gel (it's in the one that I use occasionally). It is generally considered as a low hazard substance. ("Low hazard" is a relative term itself, but in this case it can be regarded as GRAS or generally regarded as safe ). Although that ingredient seems harmless enough, there are several others (in addition to the chorphenesin) that are questionable. Talc and Mica for instance. Several studies have linked the use of talc to several forms of cancer.
I should mention to you that I came across one site that had multiple reviews on the Climax Burst lube and many of them raved about the product. (But I couldn't tell whether these were "sponsored reviews" or not.) One review in particular was rather interesting in that the reviewer spoke of having a great amount of soreness after anal penetration ordinarily, and that he seemed to avoid that with the Climax Burst. Clearly he was unaware that the product contained an anesthetic! Moreover, the site's editorial review was equally unaware as they set it apart from the lubes that contained desensitizing substances.
Although some users have sought to avoid glycerin and propylene glycol containing preparations, know that both of these chemicals are metabolized by the body into fairly benign substances themselves, namely glucose and lactic acid respectively. That said, glycerin can have a purgative effect for some individuals so there are some that might wish to avoid it.
If you are really concerned about the use of synthetic substances you might look into one of the "natural lubricants" that are now available. Generally these contain plant gums, aloe vera and such. Of the ones that I've checked out thus far, I haven't been particularly impressed with their lubricity, but I guess that's the trade-off.
Outside of that you have to pick your shot with your choice of lube. At this moment, my sense about the glycerin and propylene glycol based formulations is that they are fairly safe. Glycerin in particular has been used for over 80 years in surgical preparations (KY-jelly was patented in 1904) and has been enjoyed as sexual lubricant for over 40 years!
Tiphereth,
I'm not picky about lube at this point, I generally gravitate towards what is most available. So for me it's usually KY jelly and KY liquid (for prelube). When I do get out I like Maximus as well. For convenience the Aneros Markman brand is great too!
As I've said many times in the past, find something that works for you, that you're comfortable with and that you can afford....then forget about it. While proper lubrication is essential, most preparations are adequate to the task. Witness the fact that experienced users can utilize almost any product and enjoy Super O's. So it is unlikely that the choice of one brand over another will be THE essential factor to your success either. The process of arousal that precipitates a Super O is far deeper than that.

Thanks for the input man I was just curious. I happen to use the KY as well.
B Mayfield - thank you so much! Man, you are full of information!!! That was pretty interesting about the Glyceryl polymethacrylate being in eye cream. From what I know, the skin is so sensitive around the eyes that you have to have pretty sensitive stuff before you can put it by your eyes. (I accidentally got a skin cleaner on the underside of my eye once (where you get bags under your eyes) and it made my eye twitch like crazy!) I will say that the info on talc and mica is bothering. If I'm thinking right, talk (and mica?) are in makeup. I've never heard of cancer from makeup.
Thanks also for the info on that the glycerin is metabolized into glucose and lactic acid. I know that both of those things are normally in the body, so that does ease the worry. Y'know, I was watching a show on human sexuality a couple of weeks ago and if I remember right... I think I remember them saying something to the effect that when a person has an orgasm, the tightening of the muscles from tensing during actually squeezes any or most of the lactic acid out of the muscles. Pretty wild huh?
Wow, 1904 huh?! I would have never thought!!!
You know, I had even thought to mention or bring up Emu oil to you. YES, I did say Emu oil! lol I went to a craft/vendor show last fall and someone there was selling products made from... yes... Emu's. On the front of the bottle it says it contains Omega 3, 6 and 9. 100% pure. Steroid, hormone and antibiotic free. Hypo-allergenic, anti-inflammatory, deep penetrating. Then on the back it reads AEA Certified as fully refined, the highest grade available... and it is processed under strict controls to preserve oil purity, stability and efficacy. Sounded pretty good. Then it went on to say for topical use. So, I figured that put the kabosh on using it with the Aneros. Plus it is pretty spendy. But, if you are curious... the website is www.emumagic.com or 1-800-368-4246. (It does say it is good for arthritis, skin moisturizing, reducing of wrinkles and age spots, dermatitis, chapping, eczema, psoriasis, wounds, stretch marks, insect bites, scarring, burns, pain, skin rejuvenation and skincare during radiation therapy, acne and rosacea.) I will say that I used another product of theirs called Derma Magic on a burn on my arm from my wood stove and it worked great!
Anyway, that's all. Thanks again.
