I wouldn't say they are necessary, I've had orgasms where the head-rush was exactly like a normal orgasm, and others where it's just the prostate thumping on its own. Those were orgasms without a doubt, and would qualify as dry.
I don't know what prompted me to ask. I think I was just drawing from my own experiences (and hopes) when it comes to the peridise. I get very small stirrings of ejaculation feelings with the peridise that I don't get with other aneros models.

This is fantastic! Congratulations! It never occurred to me to massage my perineum while using the Peridise. My experience with the Peridise so far is that it has been the most underwhelming device so it rarely gets used. My Progasm continues to be the best device for me at the moment. But I may just try your advice to do this with the Peridise to see what occurs. Thanks!

Big devices for me are rubbish, it kills the feelings . Peredise = win.
