Worried I irreversibly damaged my prostate...

Long story short: I injured my prostate while doing at-home pelvic floor PT. Usually I go to a specialist to have my bladder and rectal muscle tension relieved, but on one occasion I had to do things on my own. So I got out the hard, acrylic wand that the PT practice recommends. Being ignorant in the precise way to use the device, I inserted it too far. It abruptly stopped when it hit my prostate/seminal vesicle region.

For days that part of my body ached. I noticed blood in my semen one morning, and rushed to my GP. He said it was nothing to worry about, and that I probably just caused trauma to my prostate. It would likely resolve on its own, but take this antibiotic prescription if things get worse.

Things got worse. A lot worse. It got to the point that I could not pee at all. That is a medical emergency, so I went to the ER... where they had to force a catheter into my bladder. Going past the prostate was awful.

That ordeal ended a week ago. I am peeing normally now. But... when I insert my Aneros Helix Syn, I don't feel anything. Nothing. I'm a young, relatively healthy guy (30). It used to be that when I inserted the Helix, I got an instant erection - a "magic boner" of sorts, because of how it seemed to inflate from a flaccid thing to a diamond-hard thing.

This hasn't happened to me the past few attempts (2 days). I'm sad/worried that I irreversibly damaged/scarred my prostate, and I will no longer be able to enjoy the pleasure that this device gives me.

Is there anyone else out there who has had prostate damage? Was there a certain recovery time that you needed to go through before you could return to normal Aneros usage?

You know... I came across these products as a fluke. If I had never needed pelvic floor PT, I would have never found this place. I would have never known this entirely different side to male sexual pleasure. I don't want to lose that...

You are probably still feeling the effects of the pain, both physically AND mentally. I doubt you did long term damage. Our bodies are designed to heal, so give it time to do so. You put yourself through the ringer for sure. I'm sure things will be back to normal soon.

Information re mechanics:
Can you get an erection normally?
Can you ejaculate normally?
Can you masturbate?
Does it hurt to insert your Aneros?
Can you feel it inside?

Possibly you may have to start again (like many of us) and allow the Aneros and the prostate to get to know each other. I don't think the purpose of inserting an Aneros is to get an instant erection.

I take comfort in mdad's statement.

isvara:
-Yes I can.get an erection (get spontaneous ones in morning).
-Yes I can ejaculate normally
-Yes I can masturbate
-It does not hurt to insert my Aneros
-I can feel the Aneros inside, but.the contact.point with the prostate feels.almost... dull... as if there is a remnant of damage.

When I first started using.the.Aneros, I.was having.issues.with libido and ED. Thoae problrms probably stemmed from brain surgery, and impinged.nerves in my perineum. For whatever reason, the first time I inserted the Syn, I got an intense erection. It was almost like watching a balloon inflate. After that, I started having morning wood every day.... sometimes.so intense that I would NEED to.masturbate in order to become flaccid.

Then I.went through.some trauma in that area and things just haven't been the same since.

@Invictus, sounds like all good news. As mdad says the repair work will continue. I think the prostate is keeping its head down until it can trust the Anerso! Perhaps allow time and look for the little sensations and enjoy.

@Invictus --- Given all that you still can do, I'm confident you've bruised things, without permanent damage! I've experienced similar bruising, and I took a good week or two before the aching stopped. That was before I discovered Aneros! However, it was also some of that achy feeling that recently prompted me to practice Aneros-less sessions a bit more, and the results were pleasant. Your doctors advice should, of course, be the most reassuring!

Give it some time, then...Orgasm On! Take care!

I don't understand what the above condition is. What causes it and how often you get it.
I also don't know what PT stands for. Is it possible the Aneros contributed to it, or did it happen prior to Aneros use?. As @AR said above most of us only have limited medical knowledge so you should get an all clear that your prostate and surrounds are ok. As you do go to a specialist for treatment from time to time it might be good to go and get an all clear.
What is good is that you are functioning sexual okay. Normal Aneros use in not really invasive, unless you get very strong contractions with it.

Hey, Invictus. I can't see any indication you've caused any significant or permanent damage. It's obvious from your statements that you can still have an erection and masturbate and ejaculate that you've sustained no nerve injury. You've probably just caused a significant bit of bruising to your prostate that makes you not feel the Aneros as sensitively when inserted as before. Give yourself a fair amount of time, maybe even 10 days to a couple weeks and see if the sensitivity you had before returns.

If you ejaculate without pain then it's fine! Wheni hurt mine I would ejaculate and it STUNG with each pulse and wasn't nice at all, this was for at least 1.5 years as well, made me very depressed.

I think what I had though was prostatitius which was ironically cured by using the aneros (the thing that caused it in the first place!)

sounds like you'll be okay, but yes take it easy and probably see a doc to be safe. If you can cum fine that is good!

Maybe a Peridise will be nice for you? It is more subtle and does not put direct intense pressure on your prostate, sometimes I like to use the Peridise when I cum manually more than the mgx and progasm
