I, like you, struggled over which model to get. I read reviews on Amazon and on aneros.com. In the end, I decided to go with the Helix. It was middle of the road, not the largest and not the smallest. Also it was newer than the MGX so I figured it had improvements made. I hope that was the case and not that the manufacturer figured out a cheaper way to make it.

Anyhow, I am very happy with the Helix and found the learning curve to be quite short.

Once you find it working for you, you can explore different models.

If I got to redo my choice I would go for the SGX or MGX as my first instead of helix..

I'll support the MGX as a good starter with your height. It may be one of the older models, but it still delivers and is one of my favorite classic models. The MGX is a liitle smaller in diameter than the Helix which may be beneficial with a large prostate. As you progress and your muscles develop, you might look into one of the Eupho models. Again, they are smaller in diameter and as such, really move around a lot.

Have fun and welcome!

I started with the MGX, and it was fine, purchased the bigger ones like Progasm and Maximus because i wanted more of the sensation of a penis, which they did. i can't detect much difference in sensations with the different models, but I'd say Helix became my favorite, and Helix Syn even more so. Have almost all the others, but almost never use them because i can get dry prostate orgasms now without them, especially when doing Mangina (I have ED from 50 years of Diabetes.) If you don't know what Mangina is and want to know just do search on here. Can't be done with a stiff on, so great for us limpies with ED. Unbelievable penile sensations, and together with dry prostate orgasms produces such pleasure that sometimes i can hardly stand it. Can be done with aneros in, too, of course.

I don't know where to find an explanation, probably others do. Doing a search for mangina on gray box with symbol of magnifying glass at top of page next to sign in or out brings lots of info on it.

If search is working, there was a lengthy thread on this within the last year.

I'm an extremely tall guy, I own both Helix and Progasm. I bought Progasm because I thought Helix was not enough (wrong!).

Either way, I'd buy a non-silicone Aneros (not Syn). The reason is it will dissolve if you use it with silicone lube. Silicone lubes are extremely long lasting and slippery.

Exercising my Kegel muscles for 2 weeks, until I felt minor involuntary spasms (200 per day in one go) improved my sessions dramatically. I coupled it with using silicone lube (and I use it liberally ! I lube, insert and remove Aneros until I no longer feel difference from more lube), it was very important as well. Helix wasn't too small for me, I was using it wrong.

By the way, I have no problem whatsover inserting the "big" Progasm and I'm straight. I'm just a very tall guy.
