If I told mum that it was made in USA (she is vagely aware that I have one due to her snooping through my History in firefox and seeing me receive a parcel that I took to my room), she'd say: "See, I told you that debauched place was Babylon/Sodom/Gomorrah!"

Based upon US patent research, I am going to guess that all of the HIH products were originally designed by a man named: Takashima, Jiro.
I love looking at the patents for his designs. -- They go back quite some time. -- extremely interesting.
Somebody confirm this -- Am I wrong?
