Something has happened to my Vice. The surface has become a bit darker, shinier and the texture feels rough. I can leave marks with light scratches of a fingernail. What happened? The Vice has never been into contact with anything but:
* K-Y
* Vaseline (name-brand)
* Skin-friendly antibacterial soap (nothing fancy)
* My asshole

What about silicone? I have never even owned silicone lube. What has happened? Could this be a manufacturing defect? Can I still use it? (I feel comfortable using it if it's covered in Vaseline)

Cheers...

Thanks for posting your experience Pareidolia. I'd have a talk with Aneros customer service to see how they can help you. As the only thing I'm aware of that can negatively effect the silicone material of the Vice is using Silicone lube. But perhaps others here might have other ideas.

I've discovered a similar thing to my vice. I think its the residual left over from the Vaseline. Try giving it a good scrub down with hot soapy water and then you can give it a little boil bath (i do about 1 minute) and that gets everything back to the way it was out of the box.
