I've had my Aneros about two years and have had very average experiences thus far. But, to explain why & where I am at now, requires some background info - I have never had much luck with anal orgasms using my Aneros, much less a Super-O. When I first started using it, I did experience some major tingling, even after it had been removed at the end of a session. They were v-e-r-y pleasant, but never built up to any kind of orgasm. If I masturbated while it was inserted, I did experience a much more intense penal orgasm for sure...but that was about it. But, over time, even any anal sensations I had had over the fist year or so, have happened less and less. It's gotten to the point that the only reason I kept using it at all, is because it actually DID help my nighttime urination issues now that I am older. I went from peeing 4-6 times a night, to a now average of 1-2 times. If for no other reason, THAT has made it a huge success instead of turning to meds.
I posted a new thread a couple of weeks ago about how I had modified my Aneros, to make it more comfortable. The first thing I did within the first six months was to cut off & sand down the rear tab.....it had always hurt like hell with every use. But recently, I took a heat gun and bent the "U" shape of the remaining P-tab, opening it wider, and then a week later heated and twisted the round circle tab at the end, from a vertical to horizontal position, so that that damned round tab wouldn't dig into my perineum during every use. Eureka!!! It now feels so comfortable, I have taken to using it for extended periods of time. I still only get the v-e-r-y gentle sensations or waves when I am walking, or rocking in a rocking chair, along with little "sparks" or shocks on occasion right at my anal opening. All good. All pleasant. I've liked the sensations I get, though I have STILL never experienced a Super-O, with extended use. SO, (and finally to my question), I have begun to wonder if I might be a candidate for a butt plug instead of trying to simply use the Aneros like a butt plug? Sexually, the Aneros is the first "butt play" I have e-v-e-r tried. I suppose I'd call myself only slightly bi. I am married, and the only gay experiences I have ever had has been a few bj's along the way. LIKING this "full feeling" in my butt, is entirely new, and to be honest, a bit exciting. (Lastly, the wife is not on this journey with me as she has health issues, and any Aneros use for prostate massage or fun, has been all solo. And, I have no thoughts/worries about "turning gay", with my Aneros extended use.) I'm just wondering if I might like a butt plug more......or, even a remote controlled butt plug like a Nexus, LOL!!!!!!!!

The rigid P-tab on the classic versions has its purpose.
The Syn versions have softer P-tabs and exterior, and provide different sensations.
You may want to give those a try.
