Just though I would share with you the benefits of using Aneros for pain relief.I have been using Aneros for about two years now. Two and a half years ago I had trauma to my heels when I fell 6 metres onto cement.
My heels shattered but somehow I managed not to brake my back.
I do not wish this injury on my worst enemy, the pain associated with this injury was more than i could bare.
By some miracle and a lot of determination I am walking although I am in a lot of pain most of the time.
If I overdo it which happens quite often I am so sore I have to lay down for hours on end.
Quite often I will go to bed at night almost unable to walk and by the morning I am still in too much pain to get up for much more than a pee stop which is only 2 metres away.
This pain is constant and the only way to get through it even after taking pain killers is to take your mind off it.
Aneros does this quite well. The feelings are centred around your anus and groin so it dulls greatly the pain in my feet.
This actually helps by relaxing the muuscles around my feet too so aids in the pain relief.
Distraction is the way to go because lets face it pain is all in your head! The nerves tell the brain it hurts so if the brain stays "shut the hell up, I am busy orgasming and enjoying pwaves, i am not listening to you nerves windge"

Maybe I am preaching to the converted but if you are new to Aneros and looking for reasons why you should try this then this is one of numerous reasons.

Yes, it's a great way to train the mind to deal with pain, stress, and many other life events! I second your observation!

I have always been inspired by your contributions and the humor you share. When you share experiences such as yours, I am reminded of the blessings I am given and to share them with others.

I have gone through very stressful times in the last few years with the loss of parents and the grieving of those remaining. I have used my sessions as a personal quiet time to regroup. It's probably pretty close to meditation. Whatever you want to call it, it has been restorative.

It's good to be reminded that there is more to Aneros than intense, long lasting, mind blowing orgasms.

Thanks,
Xileh

@braveneworld,I had no idea you suffered this way. I'm so sorry but pleased to know that an Aneros tool can have this effect.

Do you care to nominate which tool it is that does this?

I too suffer from occasional back problems and would be interested in any therapeutic outcomes.

@braveneworld, I tried this with my herniated disk but the bulge was outward and pressed on the sciatic nerve ganglia so the pain was extreme and totally debilitating. As it diminished I started to use Aneros again and it was a pleasant distraction and helpful. Apart from enjoyable stimulation I find the small Aneros models and the large Peridise very helpful to aid my sleep. I use them almost nightly. They are a sort of physical mantra, just enough distraction to lull the brain and allow sleep. Perhaps Aneros works best for chronic pain rather than acute.

@Pommie each tool has had its time in the spotlight. The body wants what the body wants!helix, eupho, pro ice, maximus, peridise, tempo they all have helped at different times. However if I had to pick a favourite it would be Maximus. It stimulates the whole anal wall without stretching you so can be worn almost all night without soreness.

@isvara Thankyou for your kind words.
I am truly sorry to hear you have been through this terrible time. I dread the same part of life which is to come for me.
Your right it is as close to meditation as I will ever get. I often drift off to sleep with the device rocking me gently. I agree if the pain was in your back it could be difficult to reach that point of relaxation, it would also make a difference on how you lay there eg on your side or back. It has to be optimum.

@braveneworld,Interested to see that the Maximus seems to work well for you. It is a while since I have given mine an airing since, like @isvara, I have been using the Peridises mostly for some months.

I'll have to bring out the Maximus and give it another go! Thanks for reminding me of it.

I have had two chronic pain issues that seem to respond, if only temporarily, to an Aneros session. I have a recurring back muscle spasm, deep to the gluteals, probably the piriformis muscle which stabilizes the hip. It started with a terrible spasm that hit me like a knife while on a business trip nearly 17 years ago (it's actually a funny story, in retrospect, but I digress). This has responded to shoe inserts, but over the years, it has required re-adjusting those. I do a good deal of work standing in one place and sometimes it becomes very painful. I have used an elastic back brace with a tennis ball inserted just over the painful/spasming muscle and that works too. But I have noticed that Kegel exercises alone, and Aneros sessions will help alleviate the pain. I also have had several months of what may be tendonitis in one biceps muscle in the upper arm. Once, during a great session (and I only achieved this once), I was able to direct the good feelings building in the prostate region, just like many of you have reported (I am "envious" of those who seem to be able to actively "move" the pleasure around to specific locations--you know who you are! ;)). In any case, I felt the "energy" or whatever go to that aching tendon and it disappeared. Wow. But I have a lot of work to do, before I shall be able to do this at will, and believe me, I am working on it! I also had a session in which I found my arms and legs "levitating", semi-voluntarily. I guess it was a kind of self hypnosis, but they felt weightless and this must have continued for up to 30 minutes. Anyone else?
