I am in my late 50's and had my prostate removed about 9 monhs ago. I've searched this forum for threads on use of an Aneros for men without prostates, but the only threads I've found basically say "just give it a try..." I'm wondering if there are any men out there who are post-prostate-removal and have had success achieving orgasm with the Aneros.
I have been able to achieve "regular" (penile) orgasms but without erection. When masturbating, it takes a bit more time and effort, but it is satisfying and pleasant. However, the idea of lying back and relaxing for 30-60 minutes instead of manually stimulating myself for the same period of time is intriguing.
My procedure was nerve-sparing, so logically it makes sense that a prostate massager MIGHT be able to stimulate the nerves. However, anatomically, the Aneros might depend on the prostate to hold itself and the nerve clusters in the right position for the Aneros to stimulate it through the anal wall. I am unsure where the nerves end up (anatomically} post-surgery.
So, if you are post-prostate-removal and have tried the Aneros, please let me know of your experiences. But please, you still have your prostate, respectfully, please don't bother replying "why don't you just try it" - I will probably do just that. I'm just trying to find someone who has had "success" with the Aneros.
Thanks.
@niceguy76 I don't have the information you are seeking but I am anxius to hear the answer (if not from another member) after your experiment. Good luck and I hope the outcome is positive for you. We never knows if or when our health will fail us; something most of us take for granted.
I concur with @GGringo's sentiment. We guys are never 100% sure about our health, including our prostates. This shared info. will be invaluable to Aneros users someday.
Well, I understand hearing from guys who haven't had the surgery is frustrating. I don't mean to be another. But I felt I might be able to look at it from 2 perspectives both medical and metaphysical.
From the medical perspective, depending on the placement of the incision can lead to scar tissue in the region of the nerve plexus in particular the parasympathetic nerves which are responsible for erection. This may have created the ED at this point. Withe aneros, this may gradually break up scar tissue and free the pressure from the bundles to allow erection. Scar tissue may be pain sensitive so you may wish to start small with peridise. If that is comfortable then eupho or helix. Several nerve bundles including anal/perineal and even Vagal may offer several pathways for pleasure. As such with so many options you should be able to achieve a type of orgasm as you have already proven with traditional masturbation. The aneros is much more than just a unit that puts pressure on the prostate. It is a sounding board for th e nerves of the region to amplify th e effects of stimulus. And you have plenty of viable nerve tissue to work with. Second, vagal nerve endings are placed deeper and bypass the spine to the brain so they shouldn't be impeded at all. I will start another post regarding the second part metaphysical.
If you have been th rough the forums to u have heard it said orgasms are from the mind. Actually that is true. There is posts on here of different stimulus methods. Everything from rubbing your nipples, to a technique that paralytics use called amygdala clicking. They too have orgasms. There are breathing techniques like jack Johnsons key sound multiple orgasm technique. As well as energy systems such as tantra, and energy orgasms with a handout you can find from barb carellas. Google energy orgasm pdf and with it you can learn to feel pleasure like orgasm through the whole body without even touching your penis. People here who have learned ksmo have said it is a superior orgasm to standard masturbation. So these are options. All at your disposal. Aneros doesn't cause orgasms, it just amplifies your own senses and helps you to rewire your understanding of stimulus so you have more options. A great tool to have and one many here can testify started them on the road to orgasmic achievements that men were thought not able to have here in the west. Many of us are now able to simulate sessions wi th out even having aneros tools present called A-Less.
Welcome to the journey.
Thanks for your reply. I totally get it when people say that orgasms are from the mind - after all, most of us can be stimulated purely visually. Since I am an engineering-type however, I like to know (when possible) "how/why things work". It makes total sense to me that prostate massagers get physically close to the prostate (although I wish more was mentioned of the fact that these massagers cannot actually "touch" the prostate because the prostate is on the other side of the rectal wall), and therefore are able to stimulate the nerve bundles in the prostate. So, in the spirit of the concept of "rewiring" mentioned on many posts here, my "wires" (nerves) have been detached from "the switch" (small joke) and are floating around in my body's "conduit". So I'm wondering if the Aneros can "reach" them anyway to help me "complete the circuit." .
But what you say about relaxation and breathing techniques and other methods make total sense to me - so thank you again very much for responding.
To that end your nerve plexus is not floating. It is not in some random chaotic spacoal orbit that is unobtainable. From an anatomy perspective they are wi th in the region of origin. Most likely held down by fascia or scar tissue. They should be accesible. Directly
And if not then indirectly. I feel pleasure up to my navel from aneros insertion as well as non. Again it is focus of attention, and relaxation. Imagine if you will the air across your cornea. Can u feel it if you pay attention? Or across your nose? If you assume to pay attention to the feelings near your anus, can u not feel the senses.from your toes to your head lf you focus the energy will move. So. What would you like to focus on? What about the internal? This is an oyster that belongs to you. Open it.
Thanks very much for the encouragement...
@yankeecowboy , I don't know if you are a physician but you sure are interesting to read. This makes me look forward to read about your progress even more @niceguy76! Good luck and stay healthy.
I'm just the janitor ; )
