I won't be able to use the Aneros for quite some time; I'm scheduled for triple spinal fusion tomorrow (bottom three disks are pretty much gone, and spurs are pinching off the nerves), and won't be able to have these bucking, thrusting movements for quite some time. But the upside is, I'm hoping I'll regain some nerve sensations in the region that have felt dead for quite some time. I hope to stop in from time to time, though.
Anyone with a similar experience have any advice?

Well, my surgery went faster than expected, am experienced little pain, except for the gas, which can be quite stifling. I didn't/couldn't burp until Wednesday night, when I thought I was going to throw up, the pain was so intense. I am NOT a dainty vomiter; I get the full heaves and scream the vomit out, and my ribs ache when I'm done, so I was not wanting it. Instead, I belched so hard and loud, they probably heard me in the next wing. I finally got home Saturday afternoon, and still had some discomfort until I laid on my side in bed. It sounded like the "1812 Overture", but I didn't care; I had finally farted and slept until after 8:00 in the morning.
The gas is still a bother, because the corset kind of binds things up somewhat, but when I finally get regulated, I'm hoping things will be much better.
The pain is gone in my legs and feet; I have about 95% in my toes, and my legs don't cramp when I wiggle them. I can even cross my legs when sitting.
So far, so good. Oh, and thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

I went through L5S1 microdisectomy in January, I have to be careful when doing contractions it does not set off my nerve roots.
Got lots of scar tissue now and booked for new MRI in the next few weeks.
keep it gentle when you are feeling better the muscles around your spinal column when contracting can play havoc with spine post surgery.

Thanks; I have absolutely no plans to be doing such things anytime soon. It wasn't until a couple of days ago that I could reach my own anus. My wife had to wipe me like a two-year old. But now, I have very little gas, and things are getting back to normal.
Except for the tenderness in the back, and some residual numbness in my toes and tightness in my legs. I set in a chair for a while, then I get up and wander about the house for several minutes, and without my cain or walker these last four or five days. But I can only get a couple of hours sleep at at time, because my mouth dries up so bad that it wakes me up. I'll then wander about with my cane, just for the added stability.
I've managed to get by on only one hydrocodone a day, at bedtime, which is good.
